I love the aesthetic and music of the game, although maybe not the enemy one, it felt a bit out of place. The background felt a bit disorientating moving a bit too much, other than that I like it. Overall good job! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and the feedback. You're the second person to mention the background moving too much, so might have to adjust. Planning on expanding after the jam

Submitted(+1)

That's a lot of work for 10 days! A solid start for a nice game! Loved the adaptive music with the battle. Maybe you can add feedback for hitting the enemy. Anyway, nice done!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback, definitely need to make hits feel more impactful

Submitted(+1)

Good Stuff and I wish it was longer. I did encounter a slight glitch when moving up an incline but great looking and good music!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, I'll look into that glitch, but luckily it's not game breaking (I think). Definitely wanted to give more to play, but time got away from me, will be adding more content after the jam

game looks really cool! the one thing that bothers me though is that it shows the mouse cursor

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Honestly, I completely forgot to hide the cursor. I'll put it on the list of things to do

Submitted(+1)

Wow, that was cool, really. I liked the graphics and mood of the game. Just couldn't hit the mob underneath, but quickly passed it and reached the end! Gj!

Developer

I'll check it now just to make sure he is still killable after the conversion, but just a little side note: The mob is optional to kill. When I expand the game the plan is that if you don't kill him he kills the brother in the caves later. Get some Miyazaki vibes in there.

Thanks for taking the time :)

oh, nice! keep it up, i liked it!

Developer

Ok, I've been fiddling and the game can now be played in browser. Happy Reviewing!!!

Nice short demo, definitely has potential behind it!

Developer

Thank you for playing :)

Nice game bro

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the review :)

What a lovely short game, it was a bit weird how I was acting like a spiderman on the walls (like i take a bath in glue). But I thoroughly enjoyed it, and boss had some killer music beat!
Nice work.

Developer

Thank you for your time. I literally just uploaded a fix for the walls :)

A nice short game! I love the parallax background, that always looks cool. My only complaint is I don't like how the player sticks to walls.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your time. I just uploaded a fix for the wall sticking :)

Submitted

I'll try it out :D

cool game but the camera follow is a bit glitchy if you use unity try ti use cinemachine its better and easier and also the camera should not follow the player when he jump

and I keep getting stucked in the edge of the platforms the solution of this is to add a frictionless physics mat if you are using Unity

but as a first time you  did a great job keep going bro🔥👍

Developer(+1)

Thank you

Developer(+1)

I took your advice, new version is no longer sticking to the walls. I'll look into cinemachine, haven't actually used it before

Submitted(+1)

The game is atmospheric.  Congratulations!

Developer

Thank you

Very nice looking game with a nice short story.

I just have advice that you dont have a timer to change the text, let the user have a control when to change text with pressing a E or left mouse button.

But yea gj on finishing the jam and i cannot wait for continuation of the story. Maybe? Adding your game to collection :)

Developer(+1)

Well now I have to expand it :) The timed text was more of a timesaving choice than design choice, definitely will be one of the first things to go later when I implement the new input manager, this still used the old one. Thanks for the feedback. If I haven't already I will definitely look at your game today

Submitted(+1)

The game is good, simple, and fun. However, while jumping to a block, sometimes I'm stuck and can't reach the higher block. Also, I don't know why, there is a case where I can't interact with Desmond (I believe that is the name of the first npc) and can't open the chest. I also feeling hard to know that I hit the enemy or not, maybe it will be better if you make it clearer. Overall good job!

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback! I need to look at why you can't interact with Edmond, because without that interaction you can't open the chest (he gives you the key). Esmond (second brother) was supposed to have alternate dialogue if you missed it, but never got round to it, just like so many other things I wanted to do including redoibg the character controls (yes, I know about being stuck on the geometry, surprised you're the first to mention it). Once again, thank you for the feedback :)

Submitted (1 edit)

If im not mistaken, I think the first time I do is just go to the chest directly without doing anything else first, but I don't know what actually happen after that, I try to interact with anything and they don't respond, maybe that info help u discovering it!

Developer

Hmmm.... I could improve the player feedback i.e.  Showing "locked" when trying to open, and also an "interact" prompt when in range of something. Wondering if that's against the update policy though as it's not really a hotfix

Submitted(+1)

The game looked nice, I wish it was longer. I want more.

Developer

Thank you. Someone added it to their collection, so I will be adding some more after the Jam :)

Submitted(+1)

The game looks wonderful and the controls feel smooth. Love how the animations look and feel, and really love the 3D look to the background. I wish it were longer, but the game was fun!

Developer

Thank You

Submitted(+1)

Really cool astetics and animations, combat animation is really well done. A bit short though, but the theme was spot on.

Well done completing the jam! :)

Developer

Thank you

Wow that felt so polished. That background was super satisfying and the attacks were great too, but so short :( I wanted to fight more things!

Developer

I wanted to give you more things to fight, but time got the better of me. If there's enough interest I might expand it after the jam, I had a good idea for where to take the story too.

Submitted(+1)

Art style was cool and I liked the idea, have to say that the movement of the trees on the background was cool, but it was set so that I almost got motion sickess :D  Lovely little short game!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it, sorry about the motion sickness
