Took a bit to figure out what I have to do. Took even more to find what I have to look at. The game as it right now requires a lot of patience to finish. Maybe make the object you have to look at seem a bit more suspicious or a bit out of place would help.
The ending was kinda anti-climatic for me. Probably because the high expectation the in-game cutscenes gave me throughout the game.

Love how the game looks and sounds. One of the most aesthetically pleasing game I have played this jam. There was so much attention to detail. The in-game cutscene was great, make me really want to finish the game.

Great game. Now I don't even dare look at anything in my own home, thanks.

Developer

Yup, I really missed pointing out what objects to look at. Thanks for your feedback!

It took me a while to figure out what we were supposed to do but overall the game was amazing!

Submitted(+1)

The gameplay was quite hard to figure out and I'm not sure where else I need to look at. But I really like the atmosphere and the way the nightmares are implemented!

I like the atmosphere and how the game looks, but honestly I just can't get the TV screen to flash black ones, I'm sure I've scouted the whole room with the cursor and tried but nope. Only gameplay I get is the TV flashing yellow and pressing z on the green dot :D

It looks lovely, but for my taste it's too hard to find the actual gameplay to be interesting enough to keep me there. I'm sure there are people who LOVE this kind of games and I'm sure this is really well done, since it looks amazing and as I mentioned the atmosphere was on point! :)

I loved the look and feel of the game. I am not a big fan of this style of game so it is hard for me to critique. I just do not have the patience for moving around a cursor when my character is not really do anything. This is just me. I think you have a niche game that is definitely good for its genre. I think you have some wonderful ways of showing it in the style and art. The music and sounds were also very engaging.

Well, the game is really atmospheric but as a game... eh. Main gameplay mechanic isn't really interesting, and also unintuitive how it works: at first I spent 5 minutes trying to understand how game works, then I gave up and went to read description, and then I spent 5 more minutes until got it. And then, after I lost before 4 nightmare I had no desire to replay game to look for next ones, so decision to restart game on failure is too doesn't really works for player.

But it looks good, especially TV light. Only thing which I didn't liked it's that hero head color is the same as bed behind it so it's indistinguishable.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, it's quite hard for me to make the main gameplay intuitive (I just jumped into this kind of genre and I still have a lot to learn). I've considered in-game instructions and it's still in progress

And yeah, the player's hair! I wanna make it a little bit darker. Thanks for your feedback!

Art style and Music are really well done! Gameplay has a lot of potential here, though it was a bit confusing I was able to understand the mechanics after several plays. The animations are really well done and the vibe is consistent, which gives it that cool eerie setting. Overall Nice Job!

First, off, those "nightmare" sequences were the star of the show. They were very well put together and a good idea to only use a few frames to keep the scope small.  They were definitely the payoff I was looking forward to after the gameplay loop. The cohesive art and overall sound sound effects were also great.

I did find that it took me a long time to figure out what I was actually doing, and I had to re-read the instructions a second time to get the hang of it, however once I knew what to do, it went a lot smoother. My main wish would have been to activate the "hauntings" at any given time, rather than in a specific order. My reason for this is that you end up having to retry observing certain areas many times to see if it's going to have anything happen, which might make people impatient (and sometimes I'd forget if I had checked a place in some "cycles"). Regardless, those are minor nitpicks that didn't make me want to stop from completing the game, so great job!

The graphics and the music really set that eerie vibe, and the cutscenes are pretty interesting as well. It looks amazing, for sure, but the gameplay was kind of underwhelming.

It took me awhile to figure out what to do besides play the TV minigame. I knew you were going in a mysterious direction, but all it did was cause confusion. The concept could’ve been executed more properly, but still, good job! :D

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear that and yeah I've to refine the concept. Thanks!

It looks pretty cool, but the gameplay is confusing. Overall, good job!

You wanted honestly review? So It looks good. I don't like the fact that I can't skip text. I need to see two unskippable text in sequence after game over to try again. I heard the the clocks but I didn't see them so maybe it would be good to add them? (It is just an offer. How it'is good judge yourself).

And the biggest. I didn't found any "misteria" I only saw it on screenshots

Developer

At first, I wanted to add the skip feature, but because the game isn't text-based, I didn't add it. I've implemented that in the update. And the clock is that dark thing (due to the perspective, it was made dark)

Obviously, the game looks amazing. The whole thing just works to give off this simple, eerie vibe that fits the game so well.

Gameplay is definitely confusing and a bit repetitive, although I think I got things working. Was able to trigger a few of the cutscenes back to back, so... something I was doing was making things happen. To be honest, the repetitiveness didn't bother me massively because the little cutscenes were interesting enough and so well done that it made me personally want to keep going. But the confusion makes the repetitiveness feel less worth it, because it makes difficult to get to the cutscenes (if that makes any sense).

Overall, I do like it quite a bit. Vibe and artwork alone made it feel amazing to just look at and take in for a while, if nothing else. I think you've got the start of something really interesting here, and I'd love to see what it would look like developed further if there's any chance of that. Nice work!

Developer

I'm so sorry, that turned out to be a bug :') and I've fixed it. That's why I saw so many people get overwhelmed. stupid me xD

Don't really understand how to play. I don't know what to look at.

Love the music and graphics of the game. Really adds to the eeriness of the game. The idea of the game is great but the mechanics did get a little boring, regardless the game did keep me curious till the end. Maybe try something like this in 3D. It has great potential.

Great work

Spooky atmosphere! Cool graphics and ambience. I struggled with the controls at first but then I read the instructions. Well done!

Submitted(+1)

Great art and aesthetics, congratulations! Awesome job! :)

I would have been really intrested in the story, but unfortunately, I could only trigger the first scene and I have no idea how :/ Some subtle hints for the next objects would be nice, maybe after some missed turns. Even better if there are little animations on the objects that are barely noticeable, imitating the scenario when someone imagines seeing something from their peripheral vision. Also, movement with the mouse would be so much better.

wow, the amount of care put into the graphics and music and sound effects is inspiring - the atmosphere is really creepy and late-nighty and absoluie fantastic in your game.

Unfortunately I really couldn't figure out the actual gameplay - I did understand the tv mini game, but other than that nothing really happened and I died...?! a mystery is cool, but for me at least the mystery reaches the stage of confusion.

Awesome job honestly, was really kept into it ! If you want to test our game we would be really happy:

Here's my completely honest review:

Art, Phenomenal.
Music, Atmosphere and sound design? Phenomenal.
Gameply? Unintuitive and inconsistent. My biggest problem here was that initially I played your game without reading your little help section I had no idea what to do and just kept playing the game, I even tried losing on purpose using both methods. Afterwards I read your instructions and tried that and managed to get two of the ghost scenes to play but the next screen flash I found I couldn't trigger again. Not sure if it was something I was doing wrong or not... But that said, this game felt extremely polished and definitely achieved a spooky feel. I could easily see this being a real game and it has a lot of potential! Good work sir.

Nice horror experience loved the aestetics, sound, music and the cutscenes 👻.

The mechanics are a bit tricky to understand, is not obvious where are the areas that you need to stare at. The last one took me very long time to figure out where it was at it was triggering on different points 🙈. Except from that, everything else is well executed and polished.
