Nice game! I included it in my GameDevNetwork: The Big Festive Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Woah! That camera change really caught me off guard, loved that twist - though it wasn't immediately clear, perhaps third person would be a better option? Great work :)
LOL yeah, when I revisit this project there's quite a few things I'd like to spend time on, that cam shift is one :)
I love this game, pretty cool idea and I love the perspective change. sadly the control are a lil bit hard. Good work :)
A really original idea with beautiful graphics and great animations, sadly the controls are too clunky.
I got a kick out of this. It became a little trippy. And, because someone commented to the contrary, I'm going to say that I had zero problem with the color scheme. Also, great title. Oh, and the 3D was a surprise! when it changed perspective.
Nice perspective change during gameplay!
The beginning in 2D is quite cool, but similar to other platform games, when it came in first person, it was good because it was different and much more difficult.. nice work!
Cute premise and cute visuals. :-) I found the 2D controls to be very snappy but had problems when it turned 3D, sometimes I fell down because I couldn't quite tell how my hitbox was configured.
Really strong art style, and surprisingly fluid controls. Any gripes I have about the game probably come down to you only having this short amount of time to work on it. Good work!
I really liked the charming 2.5d platforming, but found the 3D first person mode harder to play and just less fun (though a good response to the idea of surprise). I loved the fact that the Truffians could be rotated by your movements in the platforming and think there's a strong game mechanic there. The colour pallete is a bit overwhelming and sickly and the music, though the right tone, could get really annoying if this wasn't a gamejam game. Great stuff though!
The graphics are really nice, and I applaud you on the original soundtrack. I have a couple of issues with the game though. For one, it does not perform well in the browser (at least for me). Also, the shifting perspective just confused me; imo, it doesn't work well in this type of game (but that's just one man's opinion). Overall, great work.
Thanks! it's seemed to do ok in the browser for myself but a couple of my testers also had some issue with it in the browser. Yes, the camera shift :) Most people who've tried it enjoyed the surprise but it is very disorienting. I'd like it to be smoother with some better controls and I'd like to totally optimize the rest. There's definitely work to be done :D
