Log Legend reminds me a lot of an NES game called Antarctic Adventure.
In Log Legend, you control a strongman who must carry a large log and prevent it from falling by maintaining balance. Objects may fall onto your log during gameplay - if you can bear the added weight, you'll be rewarded with points, but if not, you'll watch your score decrease.
Based on similarities to Antarctic Adventure, it would be interesting to see enemies that obstruct your path, and perhaps a final goal to reach in order to advance to the next level with different enemies or challenges.
The current infinite mode provides a good foundation, but adding level-based progression with varied obstacles and environments could enhance the gameplay experience.
(Review by Phaser Studio staff)Fun game!I liked the character model. I found it a little unintuitive that you had to press forward to start moving. A leaderboard would be great for a game like this. Also, some music and sound effects would add a lot. Great job!
Nice and challenging interpretation of the theme. In your game we catch logs. In mine, it's noodles :D
I love that you have a README and License file (main criteria for open source category). Next step would be changing the Phaser template to reflect your game; add some screenshots and info about what you built. You can even add it directly from your submission page: https://l4sh.itch.io/log-legend.
Interesting take on the theme. It wasn't immediately obvious that the character had his back facing to me, so I was confused (for about 1 second) why my step count wasn't going up. But a second take make it much more obvious and the controls are simplistic, intuitive, and easy to get the hang of. I enjoyed that the game starts easy and gets harder.
Add some music and sound effects to make this game even more immersive. Great job on your submission.
Good interpretation of the theme. I like it, The way this game is challenging. Great work
Nice try!
Nice entry, I made it over 1000 steps. Some audio would have gone a long way, but good job nonetheless.
hypnotizing game you got there. great job!
You have got some interesting gameplay mechanic which I did like.
I like the artstyle, but balancing the log is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too hard.
Interesting concept, I liked the artstyle. 🤗
