You have a README which is great, but you'll need a License file as well (these are two main criteria for open source category). Change your heading to be the name of your game, and maybe add some screenshots to your README as well.
Fun concept. Music and sound effects are great. I like that you need to choose between having the comic and using it's powerups and delivering the comics. Art-style is lovely and vibes are super chill. Dunno why, but it's giving me serious Star Wars podracer vibes (mainly just the look of the bicycle dude) 😅.
Cool concept, interesting way to include the theme. I love the "open-world" aspect but it would be great to get a high resolution version for the map.
Good job! As others have said, it reminds me of Paperboy (although it's been so long since I've played it, I don't remember how similar it actually is). I think the background resolution should be brought up, as I had difficulty knowing what's what. I also expected that I would have to use controls to balance on the bike without tipping over (in my case, it was a relief that you did it the way you did, as my coordination with that kind of stuff isn't that great so it was better for me that I didn't have that in the mix). I enjoyed the sound, and thought it was a nice touch that the music changed as my time was about to run out.
High marks for everything. This is like a beautiful top-down sequel to PaperBoy. I had to get through my furry head that the targets weren't building based like isometric Paperboy but the humans wandering around. Incidental music changes were excellent as the time ran out making me think of 720-degrees the arcade of the same Atari System 1/2 chipset era.
Extremely pleased.
Gave you an itch follow, if you like what you see on my page(s) consider doing the same.

I recorded an entire playthru - although i’m not sure i fully caught on to the win condition. i also turfed my bike a lot.
this took me back in time - reminded me of paperboy. nice call back if intentional!

Really enjoyed those GTA 1 vibes. Free comics for everybody!
It takes several attempts to understand the game mechanics, but then it's fun!
Thanks! One of the things I wanted to do was make a in-game tutorial (not just a menu screen) but ran out of time!
Really fun interpretation of the theme, I especially appreciate how you incorporated your hometown’s comic book shop!
Cool game, it feels very unique, especially after reading your description!
I got difficulty to identify what was a or not at first haha. Congratz!
Thanks, yes the low-res quality of the map does, and the amount of zoom-in does indeed make things difficult to ascertain. I know this sounds a bit insane, but that was by-and-large by design. I wanted to incorporate the way it used to feel playing older video games on bad CRT TVs. Originally I even had a 'frame' for the screen to mimic playing on an old TV, but that made the game screen even smaller and overall nearly unplayable!
Nice game! I like the visual style and the way music sets the rhythm for the level <3
