Very cool puzzle game - simple concept leading to high complexity.

Developer

Thanks!

Mission complete!

What an engaging game! Please create more levels _

The only thing that I noticed was a lack of colour contrast. That might make it harder for certain users. But you can fix that, can’t you?

Developer

Glad you liked the game! What do you mean by color contrast, can you please explain more?

Submitted

Sure.

So I have a background in Frontend WebDevelopment with a focus on accessibility. As such, I developed a sense for low contrast (next to other things). You’re using gradients for your tiles and background, but approximate them to https://contrast-ratio.com/#%23fdf400-on-%23ca9300 you can see, that the contrast is too low.

That means, for some people it will be hard to tell apart what is a tile and what is background.

You could play around with https://coolors.co/ca9300-fdf400-fe3100-2c6e49-08415c (after locking the colours you plan to use) to generate a colour palette, that might work out better. (Hit space bar to create the next colour combination).

Seems like an interesting idea, however the game will not let me progress through the tutorial, the "- Next -" button doesn't respond to clicks. Looks like some other folks are having a similar issue.

Developer

I'm sorry for the confusion you can click enter to click on buttons the mouse isn't supposed to even showup but you can click enter to click on buttons and to switch between buttons in the main menu u can click up and down. Hope you enjoy the game!

Thanks, that worked, great concept!

I'm bummed... I wasn't able to get past the tutorial. Clicking "Next" on the screen where it talks about diagonal movement didn't work. I was excited to try this game  because the graphics and gameplay look really fun and promising.

Developer (1 edit)

Click enter to click on buttons and when you reach the main menu you will be able to to switch between buttons using up and down or w and d
Sorry for the confusion. Hope you enjoy the game
