Great little game. Would have liked the need to change tactics to defeat enemies; given the circle tactic always worked the upgrade progress then felt a bit slow. But graphically gorgeous. Great work.

Absolutely the most fun and addicting game ever. I played through long enough to unlock my first new drone/ship thingy.  But I've got work tomorrow so need to sleep :(
I was just starting to feel it was getting repetitive until I unlocked that monster... Then it all felt fresh.

I like the weighty controls of the ship. Combat feels like outmaneuvering and that feels fun and fitting for spaceships.

Hallo,

Thank you for sharing your game. I’ve already saved its RATING;

1. verified: GAME due to sample screenshot showed GAMEPLAY appeared to be as that of ASTEROIDS (PC), or a vertical-scrolling shooting GAME; observed: self to did NOT immediately verify due to graphics in GAMEPLAY screenshot to cause difficulty in identifying objects

2. remembered: from MAIN GAME’s graphics technique, NEX MACHINA (PC; SteamPowered); adds: Rock n’ Roll Racing (Super NES), albeit MAIN GAME NOT ISOMETRIC-VIEW; adds: vehicle appears as that in BATMAN: The Animated Series (TV);

3. observed: self to have had to re-read instructions due to vehicle appeared to NOT FIRE @ENEMY SHIPS; learns: AUTO-FIRES;

4. observed: UPGRADE options to regularly appear after destroying giant enemy ship, which causes remaining ships to be also quickly destroyed; remembered: BORDERLANDS 2 (PS3), which: causes self to continue due to noticeable CHANGE in OUTPUT, e.g. longer SHIELD TIME, increase in SPEED; verified: IF increasing ATTACK strength shall cause “Guns Blazing”, to learn NOT YET by Level 5;

Thank you. Health!

Beautiful game, graphics were superb, audio was good - really enhancing the game play. Controls were a bit finnicky but were easy to get used to. Overall I give this game a very easy 10/10.

I love the way your game looks so gave you top points for the graphics. Nice ambient sound as well. Controls were a little challenging depending on which direction you were moving in but i got used to them over time. I love the fact that you have an upgrade system to improve your ship and get new ones. Definitely above average entry for a game jam so well done!

Wow, played this game for a long time. Was very fun, but the permanent upgrades didn't come frequently enough and I wasn't able to get past level 16 or so out of 100 after about an hour and a half. I really like the idea of the permanent upgrades though, I'm sure the game would have gotten more fun farther in

The game looks incredibly good, it feels like I'm playing a 3D game, but it's all 2D, that's quite impressive!

It also feels good to just move around the map, that level of polish in a movement system is not something I'm used to in a Jam game! 😲

However, the actual gameplay becomes a little boring after a short period of time. Once you see a strategy that works, you just have to repeat every wave. Maybe if you added more patterns to the AI and more varied enemy attacks would help, but I think that the problem itself is the main concept of "just move, everything else is automatic".

Other than that, I enjoyed your game! I will keep playing from time to time to get to a higher wave hehehe. 😈
