Hi! I love the idea but why is there no castling and pawn promotion?

I play chess a lot and I had a lot of fun playing this version. It made me think differently. And the AI man....is this Stockfish  hybrid version. Great job on the AI.. simply excellent.

Interesting gameplay idea. The AI adapted to this new concept pretty good.

It's a new kind of challenge for board games!

wow chess hasnt changed in centuries but if it did, this may be the next step! Its unique concept! Its frustrating at first since "pinned" pieces can be combined but i like the hybrid. I understand its just a demo so my pawn didnt become a queen when it made it to the last rank as in picture. Maybe this "bug" can become a feature somehow, like remember galaxian you can take the enemy spaceship-- maybe if you get to the last rank you can combine a black piece with your white! more combinations!!!

. i cant figure out how to castle/if thats even allowed, so i hope to see this develop more! It's interesting trying to figure out strategies with the hybrid pieces! I've done some chess hybrid games like kickbox (golf/puzzle), chessbox, and https://zartan917.itch.io/chessbox64 but hybrid chess is a nextlevel type idea keep up nice work!!

Fun concept that works well. Would love to see the presentation get expanded a bit next!
