Not too bad for a first game, and finished within 3 days too

There is a lot you can do to make gameplay feel better and have more urgency, for example limit range of player's attack, right now its infinite(if you can see them, you can damage them). Another suggestion would be to have it as a projectile with traveltime, and not as a hitscan as it currently is

I completed the game.

I like the wall textures and the overall dev art. If you made the music yourself then it's fine and appropriate too. The field of view feels right, instant movement feels good, the game controls perfectly and the core mechanics is a cool and original concept which could probably easily scale to some larger, unique game with variations of how what's in the sky works between levels.

I won't say enemies which can't affect you in any way is no big deal but the other parts of the game work.

Thanks for sharing.

I destroyed one orb and all the enemies I found, Not sure if the game was beatable. I did what could find and turned the pyramid green.

Good effort!

Same complaints as many other folks here, so I won't rehash those.

The towers in the distance are well-used as visual signifiers to compensate for the lack of navigation options, though! That's showing some good understanding of some game design fundamentals there, keep up the good work!

Three days is not a lot of time, so congrats on getting a submission in. Movement was snappy, but had the same issue my entry had which meant a lot of tapping to move.

The concept was interesting, although one suggestion I would make is to make the enemies shorter. I found it very easy to shoot them from miles away over walls in perfect safety.

Nice first jam game! I liked your movement, it was snappy, though I needed to move a lot :) Orbs in the sky was an interesting concept, look at the skies and then destroy your enemies on the ground.

I haven’t felt that I can actually lose in this game, is there a fail condition at all?

Developer

Yes. If you stand too close to the enemies they damage you. ran out of time so I nerfed them, cause they could hit you through walls

Oh I see. I was always too far away from them to actually take a single hit :)

Good job on your first jam! The movement was really well implemented, it was snappy and responsive. I liked the idea of how you collected energy for attacking too.

Things are a bit barebones, but I think there's a really good foundation here and it could be fleshed out to be a really fun crawler by expanding on what you have. Keep up the good work!

Yes! I finished your first jam game. Good job.

What I liked

The implementation of the theme "Endless/infinity" as there is endless energy to collect.

The music loop is nice.

What could be better

The perspective is a bit odd and very streched out (high FOV I assume).

Mixing instant step with animated turning feels a bit odd.

Certainly not bad for a first game jam.

I really liked the implementation of the combat system and the having to collect the power you use for combat.

Nice job! great presentation and atmosphere!

Nice music and an interesting idea, with the collection of the power first to be able to attack. The entry itself feels a bit sparse, but there is something to be build upon.

Considering this is your first entry ever, great work! You should be proud of not only creating a thing but also sharing it with the world.

The camera perspective is a little odd for a First Person Crawler game but I was able to get used to it as the game progressed.
