Hrm, didn't run for me even with sdl2.dll added to it....just showed a command prompt window which promptly vanished :(

Adding the SDL2.dll made the game run. Very dark, but then on the other hand you can make any invisible enemies you can think of.

Linux version worked without problem. I can't figure out how to attack or use the torch. It is too dark. Not sure if the torch counteracts that or not.

I had to go find SDL2.dll to put in the folder with it.

this was a dark, DARK game.

i did just barely make out the dungeon features, but then an eye monster got me down to negative health.

Its the start of a thing, that's for sure.

I assume there's nothing left to smash when you get the two stronger swords.

Good basics here, I've got a soft spot for movement which goes as fast as you press the button.

Clearly unfinished but still has a couple mechanics. I like that you tried to make an inventory system and it works. I wasn't able to fight the eyes. I probably had to find a weapon somewhere. It was a bit too dark but the graphics would be ok if more mechanics were in place.

I feel compelled to comment the perspective view. In my opinion one should never be totally up close to a facing wall. One should always see a bit of the floor and corners if present. It would also be nice to be able to control it using arrow keys and/or numpad.

I've written a document which covers the dungeon perspective view: https://dungeoncrawlers.org/The-Dungeon-Crawler-Perspective-View.pdf

Also, nice touch with the verticality :)

There's a chest with both a weapon and a torch just left of where you're starting.

I get a system error when trying to launch the game

It needs SDL2.dll. Just copy that from somewhere into the game's folder.
