Great game overall! Love the fast pace, and the mechanics are solid! Would have loved to use the spacebar for dashing, but aside from that the game is great! I wanna beat those evil doers who killed my monke family Q_Q

Developer

ahahaha yep I do understand the concern about the dash key. thanks for the feedback and for playing! get those damn killers >:D

Great game! Monkeys seems to really be "in" right now. I enjoyed your game and the death animations made me smile. I would say that the aiming could be improved a little bit. Larger projectiles would feel more forgiving and it does feel like the reticle is a little bit off from where the bullets are travelling to in some cases.

Otherwise, great entry!

I really liked the cutscenes and the work put into it, that part was really good! You really got me into the story with that. The controls felt also good, they were simple but effective. For me the gameplay was a little bit frustrating at times, since many times the enemies were outside of the screen, so I couldn't clearly see where they were, and had to shoot a bit blindly. The room layouts were nice though! Would also be nice if there was some kind of melee option, I could easily imagine a monkey jumping on a guard's face and slicing it off :D

We'd be super happy if you had time to check out our submission as well! :)

thank you for the feedback! and thanks for playing! i'd recommend watching this show; hit-monkey, if you'd wanna see some monkeys slicing people ahaha (the game's actually inspired by it)

This was so cool !

The overall game feels really polished, from the models to the cutscenes illustrations and all.

The gameplay was nice, but it did have the occasional hickup navigating around crates in some areas, and the character feels a bit fast to sometimes manoeuvre around bullets without getting hit, the dash does eliviates this in part but sometimes when you carefully want to fit through a gap it can be tough with this speed. The only other issue i had was that the enemies can sometimes feel a bit tanky, and especially those upgraded ones that accompany the final boss.

That being said, it is a good game and i had a blast getting through till the end, and i like how you implemented some quality of life features like text to inform you when someone dropped a keycard in case you didn't see it, and the slight slow mo when you score a kill to help indicate so even when the enemy goes off screen.

Solid and fun entry, well done :)

No problem, this was pretty much max payne monkey edition, so it automatically had a cool factor to it  XD

Really fun game! The sound design is very good! I would suggest maybe adding more forward look ahead to the camera (because you can't really see where you're going right now) The little comic at the start and at the end really make you feel engaged in the story! (and they are really well drawn!) Really cool game :D

Developer

thanks for playing! and I really appreciate the feedback! :D
