How does your game fit the theme?
The goal of the game is to steal a certain amount of souls from humans across the map, in order to save a dying cat, and so the game matches the theme because the end of the human's life is the cat's new beginning.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes we made everything as a team on our own, aside from the sound effects which were taken from the Unity Asset Store - https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/audio/sound-fx/rpg-essentials-sound-effects-free-227708

I enjoyed playing this game! I think the graphics are very cute and enjoyable.
This is a very pretty game with a very sad story. I had fun playing it, but I found it a bit too easy at times. Nice work overall!
Nice game, but I got stuck in the fountain at the beginning and didn't know what to do with my collected souls.
Some problems in layering this game, but is fun to play. Good job.
Art is really cute and love the concept! Though it's a bit unclear what I'm supposed to be doing.
Wonderful artwork! I wasn't quite sure what to do, so perhaps a tutorial or some additional UI to give the player feedback.
Enjoyable game, cute graphism, nice music, it fits the theme even though it's several ends that make a new beggening! I think it's sad there isn't more, more souls to harvest, more challenge, more polish, a start screen with the controls, you know. But it's almost all crafted for the jam too, and that's great! =)
Cute game, was pretty fun! There were just a few places where it was unclear the player couldn't fit (between trees and stuff in some spots) Otherwise very good, cats are good.
Very nice and calm game. I really liked the art. Some issues with sorting layers and colldiers but that doest interfere with the game in any way. Good job - beautiful game.
Here is my (first) game jam entry, check it out if you like:
Really nice work on the visuals and audio. The theme is used really nicely in the story which is great, unfortunately I don't really understand the mechanics of the game.
The concept was very true to the theme of the gamejam. Controls and collision felt a little off when trying to dodge those pesky soul interceptors. Overall nice work!
Love the graphics but I don't understand very well the gameplay, maybe needs a tutorial in game
Thanks so much for the kind words.
The way it works is really simple, once the human turns into a zombie it means you can head straight to the statue and hit 'E' on the keyboard. No need to wait for the zombie to follow. If you still have the soul of the human with you then it will go in and the orange blinking soul will turn into a happy purple cat soul :)
Thanks for playing!
Character artwork is off the charts for this one! Maybe it would be cool to add a timer, so it makes it more apparent that you need to save the cat ASAP. But overall cool simple idea, and well executed.
Any game starring a cute kitty gets a tick in my book! Great job with the game, those shooting spirit orbs were pretty tough to dodge and there were some sprite layering issues but nothing that put me off. Managed to steal all those souls and save my kitty though so that's all that matters! Great job.
Great artwork and audio but I couldn't figure out how to progress..
Also could you explain how you showed the screenshots on your game page?
Thank you for the feedback! The goal is to find humans in the map and take their souls. When you are near one hold space until they turn into a zombie and then run quickly towards the statue to fill in the souls bar on the top right of the screen. If you are hit a few times the soul goes back into the human and you'll have to try again. You win once all 4 human souls are collected.
Regarding the screenshots, once you upload them to the project you need to go the game page and click the Edit Theme button. Over there you should see an option to show the screenshots dropdown.
