Very clever game and quite challenging. I only had a little success. I think the amount of time that the maze walls is shown is way too short (felt like 2 seconds?). There is barely enough time to plot your first path to the goal, but (for me) not enough time to look at the rest of the maze that will be critical to adding checkpoints and rotating the board.
The idea for the game is solid and I think could be the starting point for a more complete game. The timing for how long the player get to see (and memorize the walls) is critical to reaching a broader audience without a large percent giving up in frustration due to not ever having time to learn the walls.
In fact, I almost think you could allow the player to study and memorize the walls for as long as they want. And only hide them once they take their first move. This would give the player a chance to say 'Yeah...I think I've got it memorized' and then...be able to test how well they actually remember it. Even if they look at it for a minute and 'memorize' it. I think it could still be challenging to add the checkpoints and deal with rotation. Because adding things like that can jar your memory, even if you think you had it well memorized.
Great submission. I wish I would have been better at it as presented.
Thanks for submitting the game to the stream :)
Extremely well made game. The introduction section with the tutorial is great and does a nice job of making the player panic more and more. Everything fits together really well, the boss fight is a great addition and the typewriter effect with the text is great.
If you wanted to check the vod again in the future heres the link to it (games are separated into chapters & yours is the 6th chapter)
Fun puzzle game. It was pretty tough for me as I felt that the timer was running out so quickly. Nice job!
Cool game! I love solving mazes so this game was really fun although it was a bit difficult but in a good way. Great work!
Nice game! Was really fun! But, a major issue is that the time where you can see the walls is way too short. Maybe let the player decide when the walls hide? Another thing was that the timer was way too short, so in the last level a single memory mistake can ruin your whole run, maybe add 2-4 seconds to the timer, but apart that I think that this game is a pretty cool and neat small game! With a few tweaks, this could be a great game on the mobile market! Keep up the good work!
Really cool a true brainfu** :D
I can see how this might be addicting as you practice getting better at it. What was Your best score?
This was a really cool game. I am really terrible at it and couldn't complete a single level after 15 tries lol. I couldn't move fast enough or remember the blocked paths. I saw some of the dev in the discord and this was def a well thought out game. Just not for me lol. Great job!
Really fun game, great art and really cool puzzle concept. I would maybe suggest disappearing the walls in levels, with each level there is less walls for you to see because everytime I just panicked and mashed keys till I got to where I wanted to go. Great work! Keep it up!
i thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay. the presentation is great also
