Nice Game! Got out of bounds on the top left, loved that. Sadly no Win-Con

Developer

Oh wow! Definitely not intended that.. Thanks for playing!

Fabulous Game, loved the sound design, movement options and hidden references lmao
Also I've tried destroying every single destructible block, but I was too lazy... Is there some kind of reward/secret/easter egg for doing that?

Developer(+1)

No, there's not any Easter eggs but that would have been really cool! We'll pocket that idea for the next game!

"Florida Man Destroys Entire Planet For No Apparent Reason"
that would make for a banger news title

Developer(+1)

Hahaha, Brilliant, I'd read it.

Nice game! I feel like after death camera should return a bit faster, especially if death happened far from the ship. But other than this it is great and well polished, and I enjoyed playing your game!

Wow!  That was an experience, not only does it feel well put together and comprehensive, but I feel like that perfectly encapsulates the theme of the jam.  I can definitely see some of the inspiration leaking through, notably Dome Keeper and if I'm not mistaken the character portraits remind me of Papers Please (excellent games as well).  Now I know I say you can see the inspirations, but the system you ended up creating for this was not only unique, but a lot of fun to play.  I'm a sucker for upgrade based games like Learn to Fly from back in the day, and that progression is tons of fun!

Couple of highlights: I really enjoy the flavor text from each individual character death,  the fact that you can kind of "cheese" the mines to avoid early death, and the slow pan back to the ship forcing you to look at all your sacrificed crew feels perfectly in place for a game such as this.

Nice work!  Will definitely be checking in on your other projects too!  Keep it up!

Awesome job on this game honestly a well deserved 5/5.

Extremely well done and a full game from start to finish! I love the upgrade system and little details like the dead bodies still floating around upon respawn and the funny dialogue when you die. Really awesome job!

Great implementation of the concept, the mining and progression felt very fun and satisfying. Good work!

Fun game with nice art. Good job!

Very fun! Loved the art style.

This game is perfect. 5 stars on everything. It'd be cool if you ran out of people to sacrifice eventually though. Is this all randomly generated or did you create it by hand? Also it'd be cool to be able to get the crew members back into the ship but I understand why you didn't let that happen.

Developer

You just said the 2 things we actually did discuss during development haha. the crew members returning and running out of people to sacrifice! In the end we scrapped the ideas :/. Also, the level is hand draw. Would have been really nice to get this randomly generated, but that's a whole other beast to tame!

Submitted(+1)

Whoa that's a lot of effort. That's amazing, really fun.

I like this game so much, its really fun to play. It also have a good potential
Just minor things I want to say, the camera movement after you die until you reach the ship is a little slow
also the hook and the dash seems to be doing a very similar job, I think one might be enough.
overall, Its a great game

Love the art.  Pretty cool idea.  I enjoyed grappling around and blowing stuff up with my lasers!  Well done!

Submitted(+1)

This was awesome, great intro to the game too! Liked the gameplay loop and the dialog, this game has some good potential. Great job!

Fun game! I gathering resources to repair your ship! I like it. Give my game a rating!

Submitted(+1)

I had a lot of fun playing the game, reminds me a bit of dome keeper

Really nice! Loved it, but for some reason felt a little laggy. And it's kinda annoying to have to wait for the camera to return to the ship.
