How does you game fit the theme?
The game tells the story of an animal that loses its herd, so it has to find it again. the next levels the player finds a drug, it gives the player temporary powers but wears down health. By the time the player realizes this, it's already too late, the damage is done and the animal is now addicted and has lost its herd. However, he finds help from another pack.

The game tries to generate a metaphor about drug use and how you can always ask for help no matter the circumstance.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. the game was made from scratch in phaser 3

The game is difficult to play due to the controls, but the art style and story are great!

The storytelling, creature design and animation of the cut scenes were amazing! Such cute expressive creatures who really tell the story! And the music for the cut scenes were sweet as well! :) The platformer controls were... special. A bit wierd when the character starts slowly and accelerates upwards through the jump, just to suddenly stop. And the way the wall jumping worked didn't feel intuitive for me. I did get through it, though and got to see another amazing cut scene :D

Thank for the review!

Although the game was probably harder than we would have wished for, we are happy to see people enjoying the ending cinematic and the little story behind the game

Thanks again!

Hey! Great work. We didn't expected this level of animations the intros and the outros in a jam. The result really shows the effort. We wont bother you with the jump mechanic as others have mention it. Also we liked that you had plenty of levels. Nicely done!

Developer

This type of review makes you want to continue making videogames :DD

Thanks for playing!

The art style, cutscenes and ambience were great, and that ending was heartwarming! I just had a hard time with the controls, but once I got used to them, I managed to beat the levels quicker. Also, music and sound effects could have been used during the game to further enchance the atmosphere of the game.

But I really liked this entry, it was an interesting and informative take on the theme, good work!

Thanks for the long review! Yes, it all about to got used to the main mechanics, but it  were better a little polish.

The sounds effects and music to the game were cut of the game at the end of the jam because they were bug, but the main idea was that the game had sound :(

Anyway, thanks again!!

I really like the grayscale art and that sweet little intro at the beginning. I'm having trouble performing the jumps and maybe some of the colliders, but still a nice & cool looking game. Good job!

Developer

I'm glad you liked! Thanks for playing :D

I really like the art

the platforming feels a bit unresponsive and the wall jumps feel so hard to do correctly.

But really cool game. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! yes, the controlers could be better, maybe it can have so "window" when you can jump in the air idk

Thanks again! :D

Nice, but for me a little too hard to make wall jumps. It would often send my character flying. But overall solid game.

Developer

Thanks for the review! yes, the wall jumps are a little dificult to do :( I will keep that in mind for the next time :)

Thanks again!

The art is unique but some animation seems misleading what the character does. Perhaps 2 different speed one when walking and one running and walking gives constant jump would help. I had difficulties with some of the jump but by simply placing them lower would fix it in my opinion.

Overall, still had fun in an unique looking game !

Thanks for the review!! Yes, we had some bugs when working with sounds and animations, so they don't always work as expected. It was the first time that I worked with phaser so everything became more difficult for me. Anyway, thank you!

Good looking game! I really like art stile, it is simple but beautiful. Game play is fun, but little hard to control character. Anyway, great game for my first rating in this jam :)

Developer

Yes, the character controls could be better, but it was my first time working with Phaser, so everything was much more difficult than usual. Thanks for your comment!
