Thank you very much for your comment and taking the time for this feedback!

Attacks are in the direction of the right stick or the direction of the mouse, they clash when the mouse is still in screen i haven't fixed that yet. You can press P instead of esc, but i am aware unfortunatly many keys clashes with browser plays, i am looking to fix that.

For the jam devlogs, i cant agree more, however i'd say its more of a category issue. Some were just quick anouncements/quick bug fixes and others actual major changes.

Once again thank you very much! ❤️

Hey my game is in there 🤘❤️

Thank you so much for this kind comment! I am really happy you enjoy my game and stuck around to play more. You wont have to wait too long since there is a new update coming up in a few minutes with new features 😄

Awesome game! Glados would be proud 🍰.

I wish there was more levels, but i understand that in the context of a competition it is hard to achieve quantity and quality and you have achieved quality for sure. The level design is on point and the learning curve intuitive. I future levels, if they come, i hope to see the different mechanics combined into a complex levels.

I also ran into some issues, i kept being dragged to a computer interaction when i didn't wanted to, perhaps making it a intentional interaction like E would be nice. I also couldn't put the game on full screen since it would unfocus the game and i couldn't refocus the mouse for movement. I had to restart the game.

Absolutely fantastic job!

I tried on the web build, and the menus unfortunately didn't work so i downloaded.

I have to say the concept is unique and really nice! Great job! However the difficulty gets quite high quickly, i wish i had a little bit of time to understand the different options. Nonetheless, the level design is well built around these characters.

Well done!

Very nice game with fun mechanics. I have to say however the camera is very close to the character. I wish the game curve would be slower too, we first jump into the game with very little knowledge of it and thrown several weapons we don't get the time to trial and enjoy that many enemies swarms in. I also felt some enemies have a lot of health early on.

This is a great project, and i would gladly come back and try it again!

Thank you very much!

Ho hell yeah, that is going straight in my 2D souls like

I do in fact plan on having the game on steam when its finished, for sure! Perhaps sooner rather than later.

This version of the game should be playable this weekend if everything goes roundly. Since it will be the first big update, i will make it available both as executable, windows and linux, and webgl.

Thank you for your interest in this game and your kind comment! Hope it lives up to the expectations 🎉

Not gonna lie it got a giggle out of me, however I got really confused before i watched your video because a lot of interactions seems like it doesn't requires me to play if you catch my drift.  Scrolling isn't really rewarded you can just click forever, and you can't really appreciate the funny comments while tapping aggressively 😂

Great work! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Hot damn! This is a life saver! Thank you for making such beautiful tilable ruins. They will be perfect in my game

Credit was attributed 👍

This is so good! I wish it would come with an actual chest that can be used, otherwise i can't use it since anyone would know it's a mimic from the Sprite used

If you ever add one, please let me know!

If its in unity, you need to set the size to > 2048 if the animation has a lot of sprite in a single row.

Great soundtrack! Creates a good atmosphere for a dark exploration in land you shouldn't thread.

Thank you so much for these kind words! I am delighted you enjoyed my project and I hope you will come back to it when it will have more flesh around the bone story wise and diversity wise!

The attack even if intentional definitely need a timer of sort. The plan was to have a control patern similar to the souls-like where if you press a few times it will keep going for some of the attacks done, unfortunately I haven't mastered that part yet 😅

I will gladly take a look into the projects you have and give feedback!

The YouTubers aspect is an idea I didn't think of as much, but perhaps indeed sending games I found as gems to YouTubers could indeed be an idea

For info, since it seems to be unclear, I am asking this as the side of a consumer, not dev. As a consumer is there nothing more I can do is my question. But I start to realize slowly there isn't much more possible. I have perhaps an idea in work but I'm not sure. It would be a indie wallet kind of thing to support devs while also being able to get back from it too, this way maybe it would eliminate some of the weight of supporting people you like and all, but maybe that's silly

Haha that is fair, I'm not trying to whine but I can see how it would be interpreted that way 😂

Odd, I will definitely look into that, perhaps something is off with the charging of the heavy attack.

Also yes I managed to replicate the big, I'll look into fixing

Thank you! i added the credits in game, if you are curious to see the result: Luminara by CryingPlusPlus
thank you again for this great work!

😂

I agree it is the current way of doing it and perhaps the best yet, but I wonder if there is angles to it that wasn't thought of. I personally do my best to play and share daily and support financially when I can, but I don't feel like it's enough. I want to do more, but I don't know how

I found this which prompted I haven't tested but maybe it's legit! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPcwhtbkd0e/?igsh=dG04d2NodzlteTU4

Computer glitch and viruses would also be funny I think!

Very fun, and i love the graphics! Reminds me so much of battle block theater. I do have some feedback if you do not mind:

  • I think the player could walk faster, it feels very slow for me once you are in game and a walking animation even if its just the sprite jumping could bring the visuals on the next milestone.
  • I love the combat mechanic, but i wish it was perhaps a little more explained, what is the difference of hitting the arms versus the head kind of thing? Also i think i would make the parts that can be attacked more clear, maybe with an outlined? Or some kind of effects.

Awesome work!

Fun little game. I honestly thought it crashed at first tho, perhaps something else then a black screen would have prompted me to click on the game sooner XD.

Great work. This is an interesting game. I wish there wasn't as long of a cooldown on attack when we are hit, and perhaps better feedback when it happens but besides these little points it feels like a game boy game polished!

This is for sure a great game! i enjoyed playing a lot. The graphic is great and the use of a comic book opening is original. However i do have some feedback if you don't mind.

  • The player is too low on screen and the camera following when falling should be faster.
  • There is some screen size issues with menues and text. Since this is unity i suggest scale by screen size and then make the canvases scale by pixel 1920x1080. This fixes it for me everytime.
  • Attacks feels slow because they aren't loopable, I feel like we should be able to go from the second attack back to the first.

Besides this, fantastic work!

Challenging but in a way that itches the brain the right way! you are definitely gifted for making puzzles. Honestly usually i give feedback but besides making more puzzles and expanding with new elements, this is top tier!

For a jam game, this is particularly well made non the less! You should be proud

Ho if that is the case you don't necessarily have to feel obliged, I am simply giving feedback 😅 I have my own share of school assignments that I published recently and honestly they are flawed to the core. Some I don't even have the source code for it anymore 😂 looking forward to your progress in game development!

I like the idea of makinga more complete game out of Flappy Bird with diversed mechanics, however in this instance we end up playing only in the top of the screen. Perhaps spawning much less trees and creating other environmental hazards instead like hunters shooting at 45° angle or something.

Great work!

This is a good and fun game! I tried to beat your high score, however fell deadlocked because the platform spawned too far from the other one and too high for the middle one. May I suggest adding maximum distance between platform?

This was fun! I wish there was more.

here is some feedback if you don't mind it:

  • If the game expands, making the trash a reloading per scene asset would be nice, alongside having a randomness added for the drop.
  • It would be nice to have a challenge, the game currently feels more like  a short adventure then a zelda like. which prompted is what you tagged as, but it feels like it want to be more action oriented
  • The dialogue on walking on it annoying at times, the crossroad kept poping in my screen when i didnt wanted it

Hope this helps, and great work!

Great! I'll gladly give it another go soon.

Funny game with a nice concept. However it misses mechanics to make it more hard and more complete. perhaps a popup ad when its not the right word to punish not being carful and maybe something of an actual printer you need to use (they never work so it could be really funny!)

The game looks great and the mechanics also. However i struggle to know from what i die. Perhaps a mechanic that says "hey there is a ghost on your right!" would be nice.

Short and sweet. Very nicely done! besides perhaps more variety to the gameplay with perhaps different enemies and mechanics this feels complete. Well done on the gameboy feel, the best i have seen on itch!
