I intend on using this in my project, it is currently in early development but you can look at it used here:

Or go try it out here: https://cryingplusplus.itch.io/rpg-luminara

I have full intent on crediting, also I lowered the pitch and there is nothing mentioning "modifications". Is that alright with you? 😁

Hello! Found a little "bug" in the demo above if you can call it that. The Character continually starts walking when i spam clicks. Not sure that it is supposed to do that XD

Awesome game!

I would actually really like that

My pleasure! Thank you for your great work 🙏

Really cool you do that! Now I want to play it.

Honestly, you might have lost your time reading it, there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on how much AI needs to be used to be disclosed.

I totally agree with your statement, I don't think people should be afraid of using AI to assist. There is currently no nuance between entirely wrote with AI without human involvement and assisting with code. Not in the guidelines at least.

To me, it isn't much different from how i used to use StackOverflow.

Thank you very much! It truly touches my heart and I am really happy to know I am not the only one who feels that way! <3

Absolutly great asset, the animations are so cool! Can't wait to add them to my game. Also, the charge effect on the demo is dope!

You asked for feedback or bugs on the demo scene, its just nick pick but here is some:

  • The lever should be disabled by default so you dont get attack at start.
  • There should be a reverse version of the lever to lift it up (with code / animator mirror) for better visuals.
  • the fade in is not fitting the screen, i have this issue everytime, i think you might just need to make it "stretch".

I know you are busy with university, so if you would like i can land a quick help, but once again it is just nick picking.

Truly hope this helps :)

Hope it meets expectations! :D

Still the best game i have played on itch. Hoping for updates!

Good point, might make the player and enemy flicker and push them when hit and test it's feel. I'll see to make some animations faster too!

Those are great feedback! i will look into remapping some controls, i agree it can be awkward on B. For the attack on the direction you are walking if right stick is not used is a great idea! Only applies to controller but will be a great adition.

Thank you for your interest in the game and feedback! i will look into improving on this soon :D

I understand, for me I like it more as a side feature. Personally it drives me away from the viewpoint of a player. But that is once again purely personal 😁

I know that feeling, so much work to do and so little time :$

Well for what it is worth, this is already better than a lot of games i played on itch! and if it continues it can definetly get big, like a speed runner with fish :3

I understand, still a great project! Hope one day you'll come back to it because it has potential :)

That was very interesting to play! I loved it, I wished ground would affect drifting more, like grass stops you etc. I did notice a trend of releasing games with the debug functions enabled, even if they are not an issue i just thought they could be removed when published :)

The concept is fun, i accidently discovered two frogs can catapult each other and that was funny. Didn't quite understand the objective but it was a good time none the less

This is pretty fun! Love the animations and the gameplay. Makes me wish there would be a race version however, since the pond can be repetitive. And with friends it can really be interesting I think. Great work!

Sorry no one answered before. it is written "You are allowed to use all of my assets in commercial projects. You should give me credit with the name @nyk_nck. Redistribution of any asset is not allowed." in her(assuming from profile) bio. Hope that helps! :)

The plan is to make the Melody's pitch higher when getting close to some checkpoint and lower again when leaving it. I think this way it will create tension and a sense of security near these locations! 😁

That might be a bug on my end as well, will keep a close eye on it! thank you for reporting it

Agreed, not very clear there is a button on the bottom right. Unfortunately bugged with controller I have to fix that. Ctrl to look in the current direction

This is done with unity but i have started recently to work with Godot. I have also work with SFML and Unreal Engine both in C++, hence the profile name (Crying++) XD

I would love to take a look into your projects when i have some time!

Thank you for your comment! I agree something can be done with the camera feeling more organic and maybe making it less close could be a great start! For clarification, would you say:

  1. The camera is too close on gameplay
  2. The camera is too close in dialogue
  3. The camera is too close overall

Also for the font, are you referring to the game's font or the itch page? Because I believe the itch page font is not quite what i was looking for, i wished to make the font same as thee game but i have to communicate with Itch support to do so and haven't had the time yet.

Thank you again for your interest, hoping it will continue to do so in future update!

Hi! This is a great pack with a beautiful standing out style! I have however one complain, the health bars are exported in the Sprite sheet half full making them hard to use without corrections. Any chance that could be fix? 😁

Oups, saw the answer on the FAQ. Sad but totally understanding

Hi!! I am working on a game that I had planned for cinematics but much later. However seeing this game jam hyped me up and I am wondering if a submission could be from an existing project or it has to be entirely from scratch.

I am aware in other jam since all fields (art, cinematic, mechanic, fun etc) is tested it has to be as much as possible from scratch but since this is quite specific I was simply wondering.

Thank you very much!

I'm very interested in this asset for my 2.5D souls-like, but I would like to know if there is a version of the Sprite without the fire? 😁

The scrolls are particularly interesting! I will take a look into this ui

That is such a great asset! I have added it to make my game more visually pleasing and it's an incredible asset to work with!

For the curious: https://cryingplusplus.itch.io/rpg-luminara

Yes! I was hoping to see these soon as well. Thank you very much for your comment, I plan on carrying this project as far as I can! I'm glad you like it since there is already a lot of your work in it! 😅

Here is a demo of my work, currently in its early stage but it's slowly getting somewhere! https://cryingplusplus.itch.io/rpg-luminara

You will recognize losing melody, strange matters and some sound effects with a lower pitch to fit the atmosphere. Hope you approve and like the direction* of the project!

Beautiful font! I am glad to have acquired it, you will be able to see it used here if curious https://cryingplusplus.itch.io/rpg-luminara

Credit will off course be attributed, for now it is simply a demo

This is amongst the greatest and most complete enemy pack there is. Very well done! I have used it as an enemy/boss in my demo here https://cryingplusplus.itch.io/rpg-luminara I will continue to use your fantastic work in the future!

Hello! This asset pack is fantastic, I was wondering if there could be adding a spawn animation for the mage skeleton. Would be great for boss cinematic or spawning. I am willing to discuss commission if that is an option

What happened to dark Fantasy 2.0??

That makes total sense ! Thank you so much once again for these fantastic piece! i cannot wait to implement this, If you wish, i'll come back when a playable demo is available with the soundtrack included!

Thank you for your quick response, I can't wait to sample this in my game!

Edit: ho, wait that isn't licenced to be part of a game? Is there a way we can make an arrangement? I am confused by the licencing since it says royalty-free

"Do not redistribute [...] or include them as part of your game's OST!" Is the part that is confusing, do you mean we can't take credit for it? If yes that is totally fair 👍
