A full RPG from scratch. Nice job! I do think the collisions with some of the objects had too wide a hitbox, but it plays pretty well. The audio fits the game quite well -- definitely a lot of pluses on this overall!

The dream is not the real world. You are living both in between the dream state and the normal state.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all the code ourselfs except a dialogue framework. all the art assets are ours and other than sourced tilemaps and a few enemies are sourced from asset packs aswell.

This Was Never A GameAdorable lil game!
The pixel artwork is very charming, even though the different artstyles do feel mismatched sometimes- it could have been mitigated a bit by using a consistent color palette across the board. The story feels shoehorned in, but is serviceable. The combat is surprisingly challenging, but there's no real benefit to fighting when it's far easier to run away. The music for each area was fitting and a treat to listen to.
Noticed a few glaring bugs and the game needs just a little more polish in general, but overall very nice. Kudos to the team!
It's pretty, you have a dog and a sword, and you can kill mushrooms. 5 stars.

i'd suggest giving some motivation for the player to kill the enemies as i soon started to ignore them and just run
for the attack speed, its pretty slow, which you can have as a design choice but i really miss and indicator of some sort as a feedback when its ready since it takes quite long!
also i got lost at the first forest level, you can go in circles and i got lost for quite long
anyway good job on finishing the game jam, nice game for such a short amount of time!
