How does you game fit the theme?
Your character is the imaginary number, i.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and graphics, but the font and SFX are from itch.io assets :)

Wow great take on the concept! I thought it was a fun puzzle game! I got stuck (on the second level I think? Not sure). I felt so silly when I found the solution though ahaha (good deception in that level). The controls felt really nice, and the simpler graphics worked really well :) Thanks for the imaginary trophy at the end ahaha
Overall great submission!
This is awesome. The only math game other than mine I've played in the jam, wish more people had tried.
Pretty neat game,
The music was actually nice, and the levels were well made, the whole i^2 = -1 is really cool but it assumes players have an idea about it which usually isn't the case for everyone,
I loved the effects and the polish of everything,
Pretty well-made game, thanks for the imaginary trophy 😂
Good job!
Pretty interesting concept! I also loved whatever you did to those imaginary platforms and the fact that the character is literally an i (didn't notice until halfway through lol).
One thing that would make this game better is having more clarity on how your mechanic works and what things are. I thought at first that the yellow things were just coins so I was picking them up left and right and then proceeding to get stuck and confused.
Although its really cool that -i and -1 reverse gravity, I think it should be explained better rather than just writing out "i^2 = -1". And just in general, I think you should try and explain your mechanic in a way that doesn't assume the player knows what i is.
A piece of advise that was once told to me is "while developing games, assume all your players are absolute idiots" and I shall pass that onto you. Really enjoyed playing your game though, cheers!
Thank you for the detailed feedback! I might have had too much fun putting "powers" on the map to trick people. In retrospect, I should have laid down a good foundation of the mechanics before challenging the player's understanding. (And with this, I learned that I will make a terrible math teacher lol)
Nice concept, even though the collisions are buggy in the browser version, I still managed to play it.
Good job!
Very good concept, I hope to see this higher in the rankings
this was really fun to play! loved the creativity put into the theme as well as the audio :D
Wasn't expecting a math problem, good thing I like math. But for real, I really liked the idea of the game, each level felt like a puzzle. Awesome.
