In what way does your game fit the theme?
This game fits the theme "let there be chaos" with its mechanic that allows the player to spin when colliding with enemy ships. The faster the player spins, the faster the player shoots. This makes for a risk-reward system for the player by rewarding a risky move to collide with enemy with a faster fire rate. This also allows the player to shoot in different directions.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

I actually saw no reason to spin my ship, the enemies come down so slow that it's faster to just shoot straight at them. Eventually I tried this spinning just to see how it works, and ended up getting shot at a few times. Not a great benefit.
The art style is cool, some audio effects would have come a long way to improve the game, and also the waves take reeeeally too long to come after the second. But keep it up and rethink this mechanic, it can be fun if well implemented!
I would really appreciate if you could also play and rate my game, I'm looking for feedbacks! Thanks!
Cool minimalist art and interesting idea
The enemies stop spawning after wave 3 tho
Thanks for playing!
interesting spin on the the shmup genre
I know it was a bug but the waiting was so long, stopped after wave 3. The idea was super neat but it was unintuitive since normally in these types of games you die when you hit the enemy ships. I liked the very simple pixel art and the transitions to the different waves. I think if you added other stuff that would spin the ship then that would be good maybe an enemy that tries to spin you before pulling back and firing at you that way you see that you won't die getting hit by a ship and see that it spins you.
Thank you for all of the feedback! This is really helpful!
Fun game, there could of been some music with it but other than that, I enjoyed it:)

cool idea, I can see this working in an 'asteroids' format

Nice
Really cool idea! That sucks that the bug kinda makes the game weird but honestly the spinning plus the firerate thing was amazing! Idk if my headphones are stupid but I would love to see audio added like literally any sound effects would bring this game so much more life. Other than that this is a pretty cool game, the idea is great, the pixel art is really good. Good job!
Thanks for playing! There is no audio right now since I spent all of my time debugging and fixing issues. Thanks again!
Nice concept. Enjoyed it! The pixel art is nice :)
nice pixel art game, good job

Cool jam! How long is it?
3 days and the gameplay should be less than a minute
I'll try my best to join it, but school might get in the way.
As you do
Thanks!
Well, apart from the long waiting times between the waves, I really enjoyed it! Also liked the visuals quite a bit. The spinning mechanic is pretty cool once you get the hang of it. I would maybe add something that forces the player to spin, since right now, I think you could get by pretty well without spinning at all. Overall, pretty cool stuff though!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
was enjoying but the enemies stopped coming after i got a score of 1200?
Sorry, after wave 2, the next wave comes in really late. This is a bug. Thanks for playing though!
It was really cumbersome to press z for shooting, maybe use mouse click or a key on the other side of the keyboard (for use with your other hand). The background adds to the chaos but it makes it really hard to stare at for game play. Good use of chaos though!
