In what way does your game fit the theme?
The player is overwhelmed by the lack of friction. This along with the AI players are enough to keep you busy. You will find it even more chaotic if you are playing alone

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes (except for one audio track)

I think the core concept is solid and has a proven track record of having interesting game play via adjacent games like Rocket League. However, here's my thoughts on how to improve it

  1. I would change the camera from a isometric perspective angle to a top-down (either perspective or orthographic) so it's not as hard to judge depth.
  2. I would change the arena to something symmetrical to make sure it's an even playground for both players and simpler to focus on the core gameplay before exploring more elaborate arenas.
  3. I would round out the corners in the arena if you have them to prevent instances of getting the puck stuck in a corner.
  4. I would create a greater number of dynamic powerups that spawn an equal distance from both players to present some risk-reward decisions for the players.

Hope that's helpful.

I liked it! You're right that it was chaotic when playing alone. The only problem I came across was that the puck and AI would not respawn when falling off the map. I really like how the map is in an isometric perspective. Also, thanks for commenting and reviewing my game earlier!

It's a great game, although it had a few quirks like the cubes becoming wildly unpredictable and flying out of the map after getting the powerup. I also thought it could have done with a bit more content and polish, given the simplistic audio and graphics. All in all, a fun experience. Good job!

Love the simplistic design of the game! there are definitely tons of AI in the game and I kept slipping up. I'm gonna try it again with my brother when he comes back. Meanwhile, do you think you can take a look at our game and rate it? It would mean a lot!

Pretty fun couch play game however I feel like the speed modifiers were a bit too strong because when you collect them both you go absolutely flying and we ended up accidentally killing one of the ai player by flinging them off the map while playing but still pretty fun game overall

Fun game! I like the idea of it, feels like a nice mix of hockey and keep away. Some AI to play against would be nice, it's hard to play a multiplayer game my myself :(.

Overall, good work!

Very cool, felt good, very chaotic (especially after the speed boost). Good job :)

Hey, it's a shooting star!!!

I had trouble getting the puck out of the corner. Other than that, it was a fun and interesting idea. The friction change definitely made it more chaotic.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll fix it after the jam is over

Interesting concept for a 2 player game -- though I did manage to break it quickly; one player flew off the field, and I drove the puck into a corner that I could not get it out of. I think maybe you could use something like cinemachine to dynamically zoom the camera in and out whilst keep both players on screen. And I think there is nothing wrong with using simple shading and primitives for your game, but, I think you can use something like post-processes effects to elevate the look. Also some sounds would also be nice.  Definitely think it's an interesting concept worth putting more time into.

Love the somewhat out-of-control mechanics, it really feels like I'm sliding across a hockey rink, while still allowing enough control that it's not too frustrating.

Unfortunately wasn't able to play with someone else, but from what I saw trying it against myself, there were a few issues that made it a little hard to play

-When puck has fallen out of bounds, it didn't come back - game couldn't be finished. I tried a few times to be sure

-One of the powerups seemed not to do anything and the other gave so much speed it was hard to aim for anything (well I guess it made everything more chaotic)

-It could use some sound effects

Interresting impementation of the theme of chaos nevertheless.

I'll  fix it after the jam
