In what way does your game fit the theme?
The theme is let there be chaos and there is the objective of our game which fits the theme and then also game play. The objective is to collect logs to make a boat to survive a tidal wave... chaos! And as you try to chop trees monkeys throw poop at you and all the woodland animals get in your way - again chaos! And to top it off, a wild plant is spitting power ups, logs, health and disco balls at you. Yes, disco balls setting off a dance party for the monkeys and any animals you've thrown beads at. How chaotic! Oh and then there's the tornado....

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
The rules specify: you can also use assets not made by you, but make sure you have the proper license to use them and crediting is of course encouraged! Making everything from scratch is not mandatory. I have made all the code from scratch while watching Brackeys youtube videos as well as Jason Weimann and a few others. Most of the music and art was in fact made by us; the sound effects and few artworks we used that we did not make ourselves are free (public domain or creative commons 0 etc) from places like kenney.

Funny graphics. The game is a bit difficult cause you cannot see the enemies cause of the chaos (fits the theme)

I would appreciate if you played and rated my game ;D

I was a mega noob at your game, but I loved the chaos and it was really fun! It reminded me of flash games back in the day. Great job!

It was fun to play your game!

It's just difficult for european keyboard to play because we don't use qwerty but azerty.

The gameplay it's really nice!

You can use a controller if you have one - works great. I usually map arrow keys AND w,a,s,d... I should have. sorry about that :(

Great cutscenes! The one a the end was my favorite but I like the tile using the starting cutscene. It really threw me for a loop when the gravity flipped!

Developer

Thank you! Throwing a tornado in there was my favorite twist ;p

I laughed when the main menu appeared.  Fun game mechanic with the dancing. The audio was good as well. It was very chaotic.

Oh my gosh. I was super excited by the preview screenshots...and this waking fever dream of a game delivered . Love love love this team's sense of humor. Most of my game time was spent laughing and shouting "what?  WHAT?".    It's sooo stupid and I love every second of it.   Great idea with the mid-game landscape shake-up.

Thanks for mapping gamepad controls - very responsive and intuitive.  The level of challenge was on-point;  difficult enough that I died a few times, but easy enough that I had a chance of seeing the cute end scene.

Thank you so much! And thanks for playing :) I'm really glad you played through 'til the end. We're so proud of our intro and end scenes lol Very happy to hear we made you laugh ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Š

The idea is there for your game, the art style felt quite inconsistent and the shooting mechanic felt strange because you couldn't aim it with the mouse. It is a good game it just needs a bit more polish in the art and level design areas as it felt like your floating on a platform and maybe some background music. Maybe having it so the ground goes down more as in you cant see it when the ground tile stops under the camera could add to the idea of you being on the ground. This is a good entry, just needs a bit more polish :) Good work!

Developer

Hey Thanks for playing!

I'm confused because there actually is background music...? It is a bit quiet though so you can hear the disco music when it plays :)  Also, the mouse buttons are just an alternative set of shooting/chopping buttons. you can also use left shift and ctrl instead. I just found it too cumbersome to use one hand to play so added it as an option. It also works best (in my opinion ) with a controller. but I know not everyone wants to/can use a controller. So I like to give options lol (Like you can use space or w to jump.)  Talk about floating- I love the tornado lol I see what you mean, but it is a pretty basic platformer. And that way the shooting plant is under you.

Didn't you just love the end scene??? My absolute favorite part. We learned a lot about animation making that ๐Ÿ‘
