Really cool game, I had a lot of fun with it! It is simple yet difficult in a way that kept me coming back to play more and more! I had a bit of trouble keeping an eye on the bar and noticing when it switched back to the other symbol so I think maybe adding some more feedback (big show of particles, make the bar flash, etc) would help indicate when the switch happens. Overall, really great work! :)
Took me a while to understand what was going on at first but when I got it I was hooked. High score was 72 I believe. Fun game! I would've loved additional indication of when the bar fills up but that also adds to the chaos.
The game is simple, but surprisingly difficult :D The changing symbols are a nice spin on the classic Guitar Hero gameplay. The graphics are very simple, but they tell you what to do. I would have liked it if the music was more fitting, but I understand that's hard to achieve in the time of a game jam. The changing icons really make the game chaotic, which is good!
You should definitely give it a try!
Simple concept, but very fun! Took me some time to understand what I had to do in the first place, but considering the theme, it made sense.
Nicely done. Also, loved the music!
Cool little game that reminds me of DDR. Ahh, the good ol days :)
It took me a few goes to understand what was supposed to happen. Controls or onscreen instructions would have helped a lot in first understanding the game. As others have mentioned, it's really hard to watch the bar during gameplay. I think making it bigger and more contrasting would help? Also, putting which symbol is active somewhere on the screen, like near the meter, would help new player understand which symbol they're trying to hit.
I ended up disregarding the meter completely and just looking for the "odd one out" instead since I realized the game was looking for only one input each time.
There seemed to be a small mismatch with the audio from the button presses? Maybe it's a webgl thing, but if this was intended to be a rhythm game, it felt a bit off the further you go.
Overall, well done and congrats on completing the jam!
The idea is quite similar to Lightsaber VR game and the game is pretty hard. Actually I don't know how I managed to get 44 points lol. I like the music.
Boxes are moving very fast so I had no time to watch the sidebar, so I was just trying to catch a single box from every row. The game is simple in mechanics, nothing to add actually. Good job.
Had a go a few times and the game is really fun but it is hard to tell when the bar is full so I always lose when changing around the second time. If you had the bar change colors from green to red it would be really helpful. Other than that I really enjoyed the music and rhythm game.
Really fun to play, I wish there was a bit more indication when the change happens, the bar on the right is not where I'm looking when it goes fast ^^ would love to see this expanded!
Thanks and and the game will be expanded with the suggestions.
Visual feedback would be nice and a little more forgiving, like a set health bar but you don't die instantly but you also cant regain health unless you get a big combo or something like that, other than that a really cool game!
Thanks you, visual feedback and a health bar will be added.
Cool game! The gameplay is fun and pretty addictive, and the game itself is pretty chaotic. Maybe a bit more visual feedback on why and where you lose. Well done!
Thanks
I also think that maybe it could have been made clearer exactly when to switch. Otherwise a cute little game!!
Thank you
Nice game, though I always seem to lose after one point.
It would be great if the game showed when I have to click crosses or ticks.
Like maybe the bar is red when I have to click crosses and turns green when I have to click ticks.
Thanks, and an indicator will be added.
Sweet, I must say that this is really chaotic and quite hadr first to understand what to do and then get the hang of it, but once you'll get it, it gets instantly addictive and I wanted to beat the high score over and over again. Great entry, the best score I got was 44.
Thanks for the comment
Unfortunately I can't understand how to play. I know what I have to do, but when I hit the keys it says that I lost.
Oops... I will add a clearer tutorial in the future. Maybe you were clicking the wrong thing, because it starts of as you have to click the crosses and when the bar fills you have to start clicking the and when the bar fills again you have to go back to clicking crosses.
it meets the theme but its to chaotic for me and has nice music
Fun!
Thanks!
Fun little game! :D
Greatt graphics bud! i enjoyed itt!
Thank you
Heyo~
I thought the visuals were very pleasant and the execution pretty solid.
For my suggestions, I think that this game would benefit a lot from a sound effect when the user successfully hits a key. Also, when transitioning from which you need to hit the exact timing of it was kinda unclear to me. Maybe a visual representation of what you should currently be targeting would be really helpful.
I had a lot of fun playing this one! Well done :)
Thanks for the suggestion. Will be taken in to consideration
Cool game!
Sadly no SFX.
Thanks. I will be adding sound effects very soon.
