I liked the art! This felt like the opposite of the theme since you can get hit by the other pieces lol. The dialogue was funny.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
the moral of the game is that we are "stronger together"
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except for the step sfx, which I borrowed from a public library

the arts was pleasing, the story and extra content was simple and full of unique comments like how any would thought about talking in 4th wall breaking dialogue, it's just a really nice story driven game, and the music was awesome...…..wait what do you mean by my Spotify was playing music in the background? overall it's a simple story driven game that is really well polish.(please make the corridor smaller and give sign on this is progression and this is extra)
good game :D
oh boi i got the "Secret: first try"
and man a lot of dialogue, but it was worth
I like the idea but I feel like it could be executed better - the writing often felt forced, and even though you're clearly self-aware about the dialogues taking up most of the duration, that doesn't mean it's not still an issue that really negatively affected the fun factor for me. Still though, I wouldn't call it a bad game - it's quite an ambitious project so I wouldn't expect anything polished within just a week. I think judging by what I've seen this would have been a lot better if you had just had more time to polish it.
Haha looks like you have a chess obsession and an Undertale obsession. I do too but more so with chess as you can tell from my game. I enjoyed the humor which with these kinds of games matters most in terms of keeping it fun and keeping me playing. Nice work!
I absolutely love it! Great humor, great art and a fun story! I love the subtle way that the paths to the pawns fit how the pawn moves!
continue making games in the same spirit as this one!
I thought the narrative and writing were very endearing, its inspirations are clear and it has a quirky charm about it.
I did softlock twice in the pawn pushing section and had to manually reload the game, which was kind of frustrating. The final boss was confusing at first, since there's no obvious feedback that you're actually attacking it (the text that appears feels more like it's telling you to attack). The lack of music or diverse sound effects was also a little jarring, and the existing audio is a bit too quiet.
Much like the story, I found the cartoonish pixel graphics very endearing as well, if a bit inconsistent (the player doesn't have the same style as the pieces, for example). Despite my complaints though, I actually had a lot of fun going through it!
This gives me serious undertale vibes comedy wise. Great story and comedy.
I managed to get the pawn stuck, and I can't restart the level
It was the funniest and the only one with a decent story so far. good job!
I really love the funny story, but the gameplay is a bit boring. I was waiting for this to become some cool strategy or puzzle game using the different chess pieces. The boss fight was a bit confusing and instead of you and the pieces being stronger together, they worked against you. I like the humor though.
