In what way does your game fit the theme?
When the 2 cannons come together, they get a firepower boost and they are also able to heal each other at close range.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything is made by me, with the exception of the music(asset store), sounds were license free samples that I edited, and I used/modified a stock image of a controller.

Wow, I really wish I had a controller near me when I played this. I feel the analog sticks would elevate this so much but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Yeah it was definitely made with controllers in mind. Thanks for giving it a go! :)
I love the simple nature of the game! I'm a big fan of games that are easy to understand and easy to replay!
One piece of technical advice would be to implement controller joystick deadzones. For some controllers (including my own), the sticks don't return perfectly to the center position, so the cannons will move without me touching the stick.
Beyond that nice work!
Thanks!
Really well done game with a great use of the theme, simple but effective. The boss battle was the highlight for me, worked really well. I also like the graphics. They remind me of old pc games with pre-rendered 3D graphics I played when I was a kid :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to make, but I was pretty exhausted by the end hehe
Nice concept and it has a nice feel. The sound is great and the feedback is satisfying.
I like the idea of two turrets rotating around the pit. It is a bit hard to control both turrets at once.
Small and enjoyable. Well done.
Thanks for giving it a go! :)
My fingers hurt, but it was fun :-)
lol sorry for your fingers. Glad you enjoyed it! (i was half tempted to make it "hold" for auto fire, but i just kinda didnt lol)
Really nice game. Cool idea and I really enjoy it. Good job.
Thanks!
Great game! Had a lot of fun playing it! I found that sticking Sin and Cos together and going one way forever while stopping at sometimes to avoid the spiders can make the game quite easy and less strategy. I feel like adding something to force Sin and Cos split would be great! But I also tried not to stick Sin and Cos together at all. That was a lot more challenging, and it actually trained my hands stronger together!
Yeah I was torn about adding a "power meter" to the joined up mode, to prevent spamming.. or some other mechanic. I ended up not doing it, but looking back I probably should've. Ahh well. Next time! :)
Good game. I had a lot of fun playing it.
I was surprised when tougher enemies get out of the pit, I would appreciate some visual info about that - size or something.
Also, some pause between levels would be great because I caught a cramp in my hand from the controls and I didn't have time to stretch it out.
Boss was kind of easy. It would be better if the boss would targets cannons primarily because I didn't have to move at all during the boss fight. And if you find a good distance between cannons you can just move around the pit without changing direction and just keep shooting. No enemy can pass this.
Anyway, what is most important, I had fun playing your game. Great work. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback!
It was quite fun to play (a bit messy at times!) and I also liked the music, it's simple but goes well with the game and is fun, in my opinion. The gameplay is interesting but tricky, I'd love to try to play it with a friend, each of us controlling one cannon!
Glad you liked it! :)
Pretty fun, I much preferred the gameplay of the boss fight at the end because it meant you couldn't just rotate around the pit and spam shots. Maybe in the future, there could be enemies that block the path at times. Well done
I love your game!!
Nicely Done! would add some camera shake and more audio feedback but its pretty neat.
You can check out our game here if you have some spare time. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/923455
We would apreciate if you take time to rate us as we did!. it really helps.
By Buddy.
Code hug!.
Diiiie spiders, diiiie! The waves did last a little bit long and the boss was pretty easy. Otherwise, a nice little game.
Fun little game! Very tricky controls. But I loved how having them together or separated both have tradeoffs: the cannons are harder to control when together, but their bullets get more coverage when shooting 90 degrees apart. Really fits with the names!
Thanks! :)
so much fun to play!
Very connected to the theme too! very good congratulations
Thanks!
Fun game!
I really like how you can squash enemies with the cannons.
I think the threshold of enemies you can let through is a little bit high, maybe make it smaller and reset every wave? Being able to buy upgrades in between waves would also be cool.
The art seems a little bit inconsistent, but overall solid jam game!
Thanks!
Really interesting game design.
It fits well the theme.
I see how it can be fun by playing at two!
To try to give constructive comment and idea to get better:
- More enemies type? Some that takes two shots to get down, or that has to be hit by both engine?
-The best strategy I came up with was to stick Sin and Cos, and go around one way forever while shooting non stop (keyboard / good piano practice by the way). Maybe there would be a way to make that less of a cheat method? It is not a game breaker cheat though, I am just picky haha
Good job ! ;)
Yeah I wanted to add more enemy types but ran out of time :(
As you get higher in the waves, the enemies get stronger and no longer get 1 shot. As for the "cheat" strat, you're right. I had thought about a "meter" to control that, but didn't get to it. Also... boss fight at the end ;) Thanks for the feedback!
