Really fun game and one of the best uses of the theme so far. The different abilities really give the game some variety and the characters are cute. I would increase the move speed a little and add checkpoints. Also add some background to make things look more interesting.

I had to go back to the itch.io page a few times to read the controls but once I got the grip of it I had a lot of fun! Great game, and the art is awesome! :D

Loved it.

There could be a guide because i almost thought that there was just 1 turtle fight and thats it. I did not know how to play. Main menu and some clouds would be really nice. Good job!

Really cool game with good art work to back it up. The music is good but does get a tad repetitive after a while, having the game open up on a title screen with a start, controls, how to play and quit button would be nicer then just immediately starting the game in my opinion.

I also do wish the game would ease the player into how to play a little more, maybe with pop up dialogue from a narrator when meeting the turtle on how to shoot, jump and move and when the turtle dies you could introduce how to swap characters through pop-up dialogue. Overall though it is a really cool interesting take on the theme though. Good job.

Really cool concept, love how all the individual characters play and gel together. Could use an in game tutorial and i would buff movement speed and add checkpoints after every character but i love the art and i generally think this is a really solid submission

Nice Game :D I liked it, took me some  moments to realize how to use the gun tho :P

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, the pig’s animations didn’t help with that, since you could pull out your gun in the air for instance, which implied you can shoot in the air, which you can’t. That was one of the many things on my to do list that didn’t happen in time. Glad you figured it out though!

Nice 2D pixel art. Love the music. Movement felt responsible.

Really fun! The concept of switching characters in real time is a great interpretation of the theme, and each character was useful for either combat or traversal in their own way. On top of that, I felt that the controls were really responsive as well. The terrain is a bit monotonous, though, and it would benefit from some different looking platforms (but it's a game jam, so I get it).

Great work! :)

Agree wholeheartedly with Peacock games, or regaining some hearts along the way (say when you gain an ally) would make this experience better. I found myself losing most of my hearts from the invisible man

This game is really fun but if it just had checkpoints then I could actually try and beat it. Oh and the Danicopter caught me off guard XD
