Hey there,
Really great mechanics here, cute audio and visuals that matches one another.
My only concern is the game is pretty hard even at the beginning, Meaning its really taking too long to finish even for the 2nd stage. A little nerf on tutorial stage maybe.
Cheers!!!
Really original mechanic which leads to interesting puzzles. The controls are really simple, yet lead to good complexity. However, I feel the levels last a bit too long and repetitive sometimes, having to place 15 clones of yourself to cross a lava pool. Other than that great job!
I love the art style and it was easy to have the controls in the screen as tutorial
That was fun!
The mechanics and controls got some time getting used to. But then the game was over pretty much as soon as I did. On the last level I even did this cool ass trick by first building the slanted stack of 5 and then jumped towards the end. Obviously that one fell to the spikes but just before its demise, I threw a new clone and it landed spot on to the final platform. I bet that wasn't intended!
I really liked how you could kinda setup your own checkpoints with leaving some extra clones behind in case the active one happens to die. And the idea comes to player very intuitively when dying with the last clone and having to repeat a bit longer section all again.
Would have really liked to see more. Currently it was just scratching the surface and mainly just repeating the same slanted guy tower building exercise over and over again.
Another great addition would have been a button press that would have cycled the active dude. I hated taking my hands off the keyboard to select a different one. Usually this was also done when you wanted to demolish a dude tower already left behind so you usually needed just one click too to activate the top one and then mashing x to get rid of the rest because melting one automatically activated the one before that.
One other thing that didn't feel too great was when a dude in the middle of a tower moved even a bit, the whole thing collapsed. If they would remain rigid, it could be used as another trick in the toolbox to design puzzles around.
Okay, ready for some speed strats? 😎
And again!
Good job! 👍
Thank you for the great feedback, the first version of the game there werent any limit to the clones that you can create so i decided using mouse buttons to change control, but yeah a button would have been better since i added a clone limit. I really planned on adding more stuff into the game but wasnt able to do it due to cleaning some of the bugs and trying to make game polish as possible. I really didnt expect that you can speed clone to reach the platform because most people who play tested the game didnt do that.
Oh right, the game would have been much better without the clone limit! It just brought some busywork of cleaning up and the limit never became and factor really.
Haha yeah, I didn't really intend to do it like that either. I actually tried to just kamikaze throw a clone on those horizontal spikes near the end platform but somehow managed to throw it straight to the end. And that gave me the idea to try to play it again with some newfound strategies... 😄
Very similar take i had on my game too, but you took it in a vastly different direction which is very interesting to see! I liked the art, concept and the music in this. Very good work!
Amazing game that makes the most out of it's mechanics. It took me a while to realise my bodies stay on the spikes but when i did it was so satisfying
Good job! i really enjoyed it!! the movement was a bit clunky though
Wow I love this game, the graphics are the best, I really enjoy playing took a while but I finished!
In the last level when you can only use 5 clones, I think is about how many are on the platform, but it also counts the dead clones on the spikes. Maybe a 2D joint can help?
Over all great game! Keep creating games!
