In what way does your game fit the theme?
Rewinding is a central mechanic. You first try a move, it doesn't work, you rewind. You use this rewinding mechanic to manipulate the RNG to give you the result you want.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code myself.
I made all sprites from scratch and some sound effects, but not the music files and some sound effects. I only used files I had the rights to, and used proper attribution.

Really nice entry! The game is built around a cool idea and story, and music really adds to it.
I wish there was some way to predict enemies movements before going in blind, like a device that can read RNG random moves beforehand. But anyway I just got used to dying as part of the game, so no big deal.
Apart from that, really good entry. Good job and keep it up :)
Would really appreciate if you could check out my game and leave a rating, thanks!
Cool little game you made there, I really enjoyed playing it, although I got stuck in the 5th level, guess I'm just bad at puzzle games. I found it interesting to explore the mechanic of being able to count on enemies shooting in the direction they shot in before the rewind, so you could think of a strategy. I also really liked your music, great job there, it did a lot of work in getting me sucked in really fast. Maybe add another enemy ( I don't know if you might have done that in later levels). But overall I would say you did a great job, it fits the theme very well and is fun to play, so: keep it up!
Solid Puzzle Game, really interesting mechanics and I found it really fun to play.
Was hard. Or I just suck at your game. Good entry with the time constraints. Good job.
Could you please play and rate my game as well?

Thank you for playing! Don't worry, I play and rate everybody who plays my game. I have already left a comment. Thank you!
Your game is very cool and i actually got to the final level and had a lot of fun.
But ...
- i don't know if it's a local bug but the space button isn't working sometimes
- some levels and especially the final level took some time to figure it out (but i'm not good at puzzle games, so...)
- also in the final level the space button wasn't working so i never beat it
- pls make the Character playable per WASD
- and add some delay between going one step back and a bunch of steps back. That needs a better timing.
I hope my feedback helped and have a great time making games!
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback!
I never found that bug where the space bar isn't working... Weird.
I'm glad you had fun. I wish you could have beaten it, but I won't blame you for not doing it with the space bar not working. It's pretty fundamental to the level, so I'm sorry for the bug.
I will take all your feedback into consideration next time! And I may upload a post-jam version in the future.
Thank you so much for all your feedback!
It takes a while to get used to the constant dying, but after a while you just accept that it's a part of the game and that's what you have rewind for! It's a nice puzzle game and the audio matches the game settings. Overall nicely done!
Thank you for your feedback! :)
At first it was little bit frustrating to die all the time but i got used to it after a time. After that i had fun playing it. Interesting idea. Good game. Well done! :)
That was a fun game! I like how you have to solve the puzzles through trial and error, and you have the rewind ability to help you with that. The story and the music are also really nice.
I like the idea.
That was actually sequence of RNG, i was trying the same move over and over and kept dying.
well done
Thank you! Yes, that was my intention! I was actually about to put that quote attributed to Einstein in the game: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result". It's what the game is about.
I'm glad you liked it!
Fun and challenging puzzle game, interesting idea but it can be a bit frustrating at times, overall it's a good and clever game!
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you liked it :)
I liked the game. it was fun my only problem with it is that huge wall of text in the beginning maby there is a way to make it shorter.
You can skip it! There's a button in the bottom right :)
Thank you for the feedback! I'll make it scroll faster if I upload a new version. :)
It doesn't exactly need to move faster it just needs to be less words. You have to read it no matter what if you want to know the story when you play for the first time.
How to win the final level????? I am so frustrated, I couldn't find the finishing spot of it. i tried to kill all the enemies, thought if it might have done something...
However impressive game. At first it seemed quite exhausting but after playing much I got used to. This is my 2nd day on this game. I really quite enjoyed it. Really sad, that it ended so soon. Would love if you plan to add more levels later in the future. Awesome game though! I must say the music played a part too in keeping me engaged...
Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm super happy that you enjoyed it!
Regarding the final level, you need to make sure there are no enemies in the path of the laser. The brain of the RNG is at the bottom of the corridor, and if you clear the path you can force the laser to hit the brain and destroy it.
But thank you for trying so hard on my game!
I really love the idea of learning the rng patterns and using them to your advantage! The gameplay was kinda slow because of the long animations, which unfortunatelly affects the experience. Otherwise, good game! :)
Great game. But I think level 9 is impossible.
Also, the story is quite nice.
Thank you! I just replayed Level 9, it's possible. You need to wait twice with Space before you start moving. But thank you for your feedback!
Wait, you can wait?
Yes! Push the space bar. There's a hint to it in one of the earlier levels! In Level 3.
If you want to retry it, just know that there's a save function, so you can start from Level 9 (unless I missed something).
I'm super impressed you made it through Level 8 without waiting!
I went UpRight and then UpLeft and that was level 8.
Also, the final level turns into super annoying trial and error.
That corridor where the laser mustn't shoot in the middle is too long.
The one which is just one square wide?
That's the problem with my game idea, it's super hard to know when you need to use trial and error and when there's a better strategy. I won't ask you to try again, but for anyone who reads this: in this section you're not supposed to be able to cross that section. It's much easier if you block the laser's path!
Thank you for giving my game so much attention. I'm not entirely happy with the execution of my idea, so it's nice to have someone try so hard at it. Thank you!
