In what way does your game fit the theme?
The player is rewinding the toys and traveling using them until becoming fully unwound. Re-wind.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We made all of the art, code and music for this project. The SFX are the only thing nonmade fresh.

Really digging the theme and the art style. Great work!

Very nice! It's pretty good. I love the idea of posessing toys to overcome obstacles. It's a bit short, and I would really love to see which other ideas you come up with for interactable toys.

There are a few bugs. I never knew when I was jumping on top of a toy if the game would allow me to attach to the toy or not. In the second level, for example, I often need to jump on top of the mouse twice to attach to it, and I even thought that you weren't able to attach to that frog in that level because it never allowed me to do it! Only after about five retries did it allow me to attach to the toy.

Overall it's a good game and a very interesting idea. Good job!

Nice game with really unique mechanics! Detailed feedbacks:

  • Really nice idea for the mechanics. The key & its toys each have their unique uses, so in some places, choosing to use the key is better, but in some other, the toys are probably better.
  • Nice animations
  • The art could have some improvements. The key & toy arts are nice, but everything else feels plain, especially the platform.
  • Controls feel a little weird. At some point, during mid air, I cannot detach the key after hitting space again. I feel stucked at some places too

Overall, it was interesting & fun!

Thank you! I wanted to add more toy ideas and maybe bigger levels but the mechanics for what I had threw me through a loop.

Thank you so much! The concept was pretty quick to brain out but in practice was hard to implement~

The idea is so different! I liked a lot how you take a whole another path in the theme.

My only recommendation is to polish the colisions.

Amazing job!

Thanks so much for the feedback! The z-axis definitely was tricky to work with in this way but definitely going to fix it up~

The Idea is simply mind blowing.

But it has lot of bugs, sometimes the key just falls out of screen or the toy doesn't get attached to the key and etc.,

This game could turn out to be an interesting one if you can fix the issues in it.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the layering was tricky for me to get down,  but I''ll definitely keep working on it and learn more about this going forward~

Wow, that's new. I really like the idea, it's simple yet unique. Also the animation is well done. Only thing to complain - is a little bit wonky control, it's hard to get the key off the toy sometimes. Overall great game, I hope you won't stop developing it.

Developer

Thank you! Collision boxes were really tricky to get down as making that Retry button became increasingly important.

Very creative game! I had an issue with the artistic direction (there are different art-styles in the game that don't always blend together super well for me, even though they are very nice-looking if taken separately, and I didn't feel like the music worked very well with the art) and I encountered a few collision bugs here and there, but it's got tons of potential and I had good fun!

Thanks for the feedback! It was definitely kinda hectic trying to keep everything together.
