This is a great game! The art is fantastic and looks so clean, just like a movie. It took me a minute to figure out how to feed the crew, but I got it and everything else made sense~

Appreciate that you liked the art :)

Great artwork, both the characters the ship and the UI look very clean and nice.
I was confused at first how to feed the crew, didn't realize their thought bubbles were drop targets, but once i figured it out it was smooth sailing from there. I like the variety of encounters. Choked on the boss/final encounter though, couldn't afford enough cookies to keep the crew fed, and being thrown back in the harbor just felt like an infinite loop :D

Also, great title! ;)

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting here!

The tutorial message for drag and dropping gave us some timing difficulties on the first seatrip and we only had a couple of minutes left in the jam so i did get cut...

Yeah and the softlock/loop thing is a problem we will hotfix for sure

Developer

Thanks for appreciating the art. And the pun. Would have used that somewhere in the game had we thought of it.

Yeah, you can get into a softlock way to easily. It's certainly something we wanna take another look at.

Great theme and execution! Good gameplay balance, didn't feel impossible to get started but enough of a learning curve to feel engaging.

Developer

Thanks for giving our game a shot and leaving feedback!

Visuals were cool, but I liked the overall idea of the game! I found myself playing more than I thought I would!

Wish there was a way to make money other than just selling biscuits, but nice job!

Really pretty artstyle & sounddesign!

Events can feel a bit brutal, thing this would do much better on a touchscreen than mouse.

Nicely done

Developer

Thanks for appreciating the art.
Balance of the game is certainly off. Something we'd take a closer look at again. We were just happy that we got it out the door at all in the end.

Art style is great. Had a fun time playing this game. Was a little confused on how to collect cookies from the islands though, so my runs ran a bit short. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for liking the art :)

Top art style

Developer

Much, much, much appreciated :)

The art style and unique pirate theme of the game drew me in. The game play was fun and fresh and I enjoyed the idea of using cookies to keep my crew happy but to also fight off enemies. In term of risk for reward it kinda felt a little bit more of a item management game but overall one of the best games i've played in this jam. So much fun :)

Developer

Thanks for appreciating the art :)

At first, I thought I saw Going Merry

visuals and atmosphere are really cute, the map, the vendors and the ui design all feels really very cohesive. I too failed at the siren level cause the clouds were a little much.  good job !!!

Developer

Yeah that siren...
Thanks for giving our game a shot and leaving feedback!

Developer

Thanks for appreciating the graphics. You are certainly not the only one having trouble with the Siren, especially during bad weather, we thankfully had the chance to adress that.

A lot of sleepless nights...

The art is amazing! Especially the ship. I also like the concept of the game. Running into a siren in suboptimal weather was my demise. 😄

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

That siren has gotten a lot of peoples biscuits already!

Developer

Thanks for appreciating the art! The Siren, especially combined with bad weather did turn out to be a wall for many. We'd certainly revisit that.

crazy how you could pull off such great music and art in a few days! the theme was “lore accurate”, cuz you go on an adventure (risk) to get the biscuit, i wish the game made the use of the theme more significant from the beginning. kindof like how a revenge game showcases something to avenge for (like a bad guy killing your buddy) from the ground up also i wish the theme had more involvement with the gameplay as well but this was overall a great submission!

Developer

Thanks for playing and commenting!

We initialy planned more involvement of the theme with planning the route and taking some that are more risky but with more reward. Sadly due to the timeconstrains we couldnt implement it anymore and we are missing that part of the theme a bit.

You’re right, the sound pretty solid and the game already looks soooo polished, but time wasn’t on your side Maybe in future updates you’ll make the game more complete
