Rather limited, but I enjoyed the premise!

Reminded me a bit about "I Wanna Be The Guy", but inverted.

Very to the point with the theme.

This game is a nice take on the theme with a clear and straightforward concept—no overcomplications.

A little tip for platformers: there's a common set of features that players almost always expect (In my humble opinion as an amateur 😊):

  • Horizontal air control (well implemented here)
  • Vertical control
  • Coyote time
  • Input buffering

The last two aren't essential for your concept, but I think adding some vertical control based on how long the jump button is held would improve the feel. Right now, the controls felt a bit "heavy" to me.

I was curious what would happen when I jumped into the big trap at the end. The game would be better if the mc couldn't die with the big trap (bouncing back, twisting the spikes together to create a flat surface, or moving to create space with the mc)

Like the simple color scheme and design as well as the game idea! Was fun trying to take damage in anyway possible and seeing how you prevented that from ever happening

It's a cool idea, but it's missing the fun factor AKA "Juice".

Couldn't agree more. Will be adding some juicy puzzles in the future!

What a neat idea for a twist on normal platformers. The animation on the character was nice. I think this would have felt better to me if the character wasn't quite so slow. Also the sequence of events felt very linear. After I climbed up to the second level, the floor collapse and I don't think I could have avoided that. Then I climbed back up and hit the ceiling, pushing it up, and I don't think I could have done anything else. Then I could finally get to the end. It would have been nice to have some options, or some sort of puzzle to interact with.

Thanks for the feedback!! I totally agree with the linearity of the game. I would love to add some puzzles in at some point, was just tight for time :)

It is a cool idea.

You are one big troll! This reminded me of an old Newgrounds game which was called "Unfair platformer".

Enjoyed how things got out of the way that otherwise would have stopped you from progressing. Good job!

Seeing the spikes dodging the player was cool. I think it was a bit short tho. Wanted to see the spike pit avoiding the player lol

this gives hella kaizo/cat mario vibes. I was also disappointed when i just died at the end but other than that it is a well made simple platformer

It feels good to jump

Such a creative idea. It feels good to finally die.

The platforms reacting to you is really funny. I was actually a little disappointed when I died at the end, I wanted to see what the big pit of spikes would do to avoid my death. I think this is a very fun concept and there is a lot of potential for some really wacky ways to avoid killing the player.
