How does the game fit the theme?
Waking up and getting ready for work should be a simple task. Obviously nothing can go wrong when all you need to do is put on some clothes and take a bath.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All the code and art were made by me. The sounds are free-to-use assets.

How many people worked on the game?

This was great! Was very surprised when the portal showed up and I had to make a sacrifice lol I did find it difficult to exit the sacrifice room, maybe the desk just needs to be further from the table. Either way, I made it out with a promotion! Great work!

Love to see another game about trying to survive work! This reminds me of the beginning of Disco Elysium, really funny to see all the ways things can go wrong

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Also yeah, my tie is still stuck at that goddamn ceiling fan.

Really fun take on the theme! Pretty much everything went wrong for me though. Terrible luck. I just hate when I go to put my shirt on in the morning and it catches fire on the floor. Really well done, congrats on the jam.

Developer

Yeah, shirts spontaneously combusting is actually a really common occurrence in everyday life (source: trust me). That definitely happened to my a couple times. Today I always have a fire extinguisher in my room just in case.

Jokes aside, I'm glad you enjoyed playing, thank you so much!

Very cool idea, however after spending about 5 minutes trying to extinguish the fire it became a bit tedious.

Developer(+1)

Yeah the fire was a bit too much. Too much stuff can go wrong.

I do think it's doable though. You just can't brute force it. Play smart with the fridge, the table and the sacrifice altar and the game is really chill.

I probably should've added more dialogue hinting to that.  It's the first time I've made a puzzle game, and finding the balance between saying too much or too little is so damn hard...

Fun idea! I like how random things will just damage you like a bucket stuck on your head or the door falling on you. The music is nice not sure if they were the free to use assets but they work. The only complaint is some hitboxes like the fridge were a little finicky to interact with and the background felt a little empt, maybe if it was a different color or something or not taking up the majority of the screen. Otherwise really fun idea!

Thank you so much!

Well I got all the sound from Pixabay, at 5 am after messing with the game all night, so it's possible I am wrong, but I do believe that their assets are all free to use, other than in a standalone basis right?

Originally the background didn't cover so much of the screen, but I ended up having resolution issues when exporting to HTML. Changing the color was actually a good idea. Wish I thought of that.

About the hit boxes... Yeah I had a little trouble with them, as you can probably tell lol
