Wow, what a dope concept !! i'm really impressed by how intuitive the gameplay ended up being, despite how unnatural it sounds at first haha. Great execution overall, loved the visuals !

Wonderful art and a fantastic concept that I would love to see more of. Some attack combinations were quite difficult to deal with (mostly the spikes or zombie into the double-swing), but I was motivated to push through by the premise and art. Unfortunately I hit a black screen after the hero won and wasn't able to see more (I am on a 16:9 monitor, not sure if it mattered). This is easily one of my favorite jam entries — congrats on the incredible work!
First, thanks for playing our game and taking the time to leave comments! Second, you're the first to mention the black screen, and so far, I have never encountered that problem, even for people who aren't using 16:9, even though the game is made specifically for 16:9.
Lastly, again, I appreciated your kind words, it really made my day!
Took me a bit to understand but then eeeeeh!! amazing game guys!! really nice art
On my first playthrough I killed that knight immediately, but then I understood it. What an interesting idea to control the boss and make the knight win lol. Like, bro did no dodge rolls, no ducking, He just ran it down mid lane into my axe. Great interpretation of that theme!
This game is solid. Complete with a story, a hooky gameplay, the hand-drawn art style and music to complement is really amazing.
Congratulations on this submisssion!
The story is amazing as well as the art! We'd have wished to be able to read the comic panels in the beginning in our own pace like having a button to go to the next panel. And the reference to the dragon ball meme is great :)
Amazing game and an interesting experience. At first I thought I was doing everything right, but then I realized everything. Everything is done very cool I liked the visualization of the attacks, but would like a more responsive mouse
I planned to have the boss turn to compensate for how easily the attack was missed and to make the boss of phase two always look at the mouse, but we didn't manage to fit in phase two. I'm not sure does it feel bad to play with rotating boss rather than having the boss always looking at mouse.
Thanks for playing our game and commenting on it, really appreciate it!
Very well made game, original to control the boss doing the patterns, the game is very neat and polish, the only thing i can is it miss of content because everything is perfect! Congratz!
Update : I saw some comments saying it's hard, no it's well balanced
Very well made. Liked the art and the cinematics. Maybe for future work add some different attacks to the player or some pick up since it gets very repetitive.
the art, the story and the sound are cool, i don't really enjoyed the gameplay
I enjoyed the art and sound of this game. Had to try a few times to get the idea! Great job!
Good job ! Really loved the intro and the fantasy theme ! I maybe missed something, I would have loved to have a tutorial to teach me how to play too
THanks for playing and your kind words!
There isn't a tutorial if you're wondering if you miss something. I planned to have the game teach you itself which might be a bad idea, but I dislike the general tropes of tutorial. I wanted to be able to design a game that teaches the player and lets the player learn by themself instead of just screaming at them with a wall of text or monologue. If you have a suggestion on how I should implement the design that helps the player understand the game easier let me know!
This is an amazing game! love the concept that it's pretty much the reverse of Souls games - the players needs to take damage and avoid dealing any. Love the art and visuals.
I love the art style. I like the concept of the game but it's a bit hard for me :)
Beautiful art style and visuals! However, I have to say the game is quite difficult right from the start (or I'm just bad)
Omg I loved this one. Honestly one of the best I have seen in the jam!!!! The art is soooo good and the mechanic is great too! I was getting my butt handed to me but I wanted to see more of the pretty lady so I pushed through and beat it lol. The mechanic where you have to drag away the goons was a good ramp up at the end with out making it too hard. My fav part has to be the cut scenes though I loved those. Great work both of you : 3
