This game have this mood which trigger curiosity. The music give a strange feeling, the people seems to hide something.
I died really fast and I don't know how I could have done better. I think you may decrease the fight difficulty at beginning or give player some tips on how survivre outside.
Seing the other comments it seem you want to continue to work on it after the jam, I wish you the best in this !

How does the game fit the theme?
The character you play is named "Nothing" and it's an rpg about Nothing's interaction with the others in his cult. "Nothing can go wrong" as in the player who plays the character Nothing can choose to not listen to the advice given by the characters and die.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
None, everything was made during the jam by ourselves.
How many people worked on the game?2

Wow~ You were able to make all the assets in 7 days AND develop the game. The character designs are really cool, too. That's impressive! It also seems like this is your first game (and perhaps first game jam)
(´。• ᵕ •。`) I hope this has been an insightful and fun experience for you.
There's so much potential in this game and Nothing's storyline (like a hero's journey kind-of thing). I wish the other cult members had names. I don't think I ever learned their names or I might have missed them. A "Flee" option would also be nice when you're in a pinch.
⸜( ´ ꒳ ` )⸝ Well done and all the best!
Ok this looks like a solid start for a game. Have fun on the journey.
Nice character art! My 2 cents if you want it... would be infinitely better with a run / move speed change.
The character art and music were great at setting the tone!
It would be cool to have more granular interactions when in the battle; like being able to defend, escape or the like. As I ended up dying to the eatplant after getting locked into the battle :3
RPGs aren't generally my thing but I had fun with the concept and world building!
Good visuals and pixel art. The game world did feel very bland, I understand the RPG approach, however. I think it just needed more content to help bring the enjoyment out the story. Very cool concept thou!
‘You are Nothing’ [insert cry]
anyways…
The art for the characters are crazy good! Although it does lack in world building. The worlds look very bland. The game is quite fun though, but I wish I could see the health of the slimes.
Amazing game.
Loved the character art and the whole concept! I think the slimes could use a health bar though! I would love to see the game continue!
Love the character art and the story. Felt really grindy and slow. Great work.
Loved the game and the character art was beautiful! The game play felt a bit slow and there was little to no feedback on when you got healed, but I enjoyed my time playing it! Great job
This is one ambitious project for 2 people in a week lol. Still i did have fun playing it, at least until I walked too far from the village and got my ass handed to my by a pretty tough monster. I tried again and got the moonflower on my second attempt, overall it was pretty fun but i still have some suggestions for you that i think could be implemented relatively quickly.
First i think the character moves very slowly and turning around feels a bit sluggish, maybe expiriment with Nothings movespeed or drag a little bit.
Secondly it would be amazing if you could add a sound or some other kind of feedback to know that youve been healed. As of now there is no difference between not being able to talk to someone and being healed by her.
Lastly and i think most importantly i think moving around in the monster filled area would be a bit less frustrating at times if you couldnt immediately get into a fight after defeating another enemy. Maybe add a little grace period or a minimum step count until you can get another encounter.
I had a good time playing your game and hope to see you continue development in the future <3
Thank you for the detailed review and the suggestions!
We will follow your feedback and improve the movement in a future update and also give the player feedback when they have been healed. I also totally agree that it can be annoying when another fight starts immediately after the last, the grace period/minimum steps will definitely also make a way in a future update.
We really appreciate that you took the time to give us such detailed feedback!
