The artist deserves a pay rise. Good game! But, the transitions are a bit slow, and gameplay seems to be: move forward, pick up shiny stuff, fight when you can, and die when you can’t. I don’t feel a strategic approach at all, I just survive when I can. Perhaps if there were more options to do, then this game would be one of the best, but that’s where it lacks.
Ok, so there is hope for a good game in this jam. This is the first, actually fun game I found so far. The franticness of constantly managing many tasks at once is a good choice. Easy to make, and fun to play. Some things tho: The gameplay art is not great, and the hitbox for the main character is way too big. Not doing the passcode isn’t punishing enough, and the popups would probably be better if they also stopped controls too, then it’s more punishing. Other than that, fun game!
Unusual cover image, but the screenshots made me interested. You can still work on that right now.
The idea is solid! The artwork is decent, and the sound effects are pretty good.
I do not understand the spiky guy, and I gave up from there. Invest some time in making a simple tutorial for each character.
The main things to work on next time: Test to make things less janky. Add short tutorials. And the biggest of them all: don’t make puzzle platformers, unless you just started out, then you’re fine.
Your idea sounds cool! It’s remarkable how you manage to get art and functionality for so many cool upgrades. There’s so much content for such a short time. Some things, though:
The starting range you have with your melee is short, and it feels like I’m tickling the starting enemies, and it is way off the balance curve. Too frustrating in the beginning, making it not very enjoyable to play. Next time, think, is a new player going to enjoy this difficulty, or is it just because I played it so much, it became easy? Also, the music is too peaceful of a start; it should have gone straight into the actiony version.
Other than that, really well done for the game!
I have to say, if this is a first project, it’s taking the right steps, and is a pretty decent game, but it has many flaws.
The idea for this game is a bit generic and poorly executed. The main premise in the second room, that your controls randomly change. Why? It doesn’t add much depth and makes me confused about what you were aiming for. And, for a team of 4 people, this is a bit sad. Also, the game is short, physics are janky. I would understand if this game were made in a much shorter period.
Maybe if you guys spent more time coming up with a creative lead, improved upon artwork, then I would have probably given a higher rating.

With the astronaut sounds, you can use adobe ai voice booster or whatever they call it. I use it for my videos and it makes your voice sound so much better. And it is an astronaut, so you could have added some filter on with audacity to let in only the middle sound (basically meaning it will sound like a radio, or astronaut)

Relatively good game. The story is really where it thrives, but the gameplay gets repetitive after a few days. A simple fix was to do the clicking activity less, and make it feel better, to fix stuff. It felt like I was following a program. Other than that, it’s the music. More variety in the music to fit the mood. So a darker sounding music in the void, or a stressful sounding music in wherever that needs to be. Not only the music but sound effects are non-existant.
But this game still thrives really well with the mood it embrases. It shows that life needs error to work correctly.

Solid game! Reminded me of that game where you have to find the pattern that someone chose and hid. Forgot the name. But this is quite creative! The art is nice, even though it is used from a website, and the game lasts a long time.
The only thing I would do to improve is polish and enjoyment. Although the game was fun for a while, I lost interest past the first 5ish brews. What you could do is have variation everywhere. So the potions ingredients may get randomized, or an event happens, or even a day night cycle like stardew valley.
Amazing game for the time you had, 8/10
