This game gave me a chuckle and made me click like a mad man. Really cool stuff with a fun upgrade system and silly dialogue and premise. Everything has come together to turn Conway's game of life into an engaging left mouse button spammer. Great art and music too!

Love the concept and art style. It would be good to have some kind of hit indicator to show which squares the scalpel hits on each click. Love the death screen. Great work!
Visuals and audio were great, game is fun but I think it gets chaotic too quickly :) well done!
If anyone reads this before your world is swallowed: keep updating your lighting zapper thingy, its the BEST. I’M SORRY MR EXECUTRON, I FORGOT TO TALK IN UPPER CASE MR EXECUTRON.
NICE GAME GUYS, REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE
Nice gameplay loop. Initially I didn't know if my upgrades are working but then I realized they happen every now and then and are not permanent.
I did find it a bit hard, especially the rate at which they grow is too high. The growth rate made me go for random clicks in the area instead of aiming certain amoebas, which was not efficient as sometimes my upgrades worked and removed amoeba in that area. So it felt a bit random at times.
Edit: One thing that might help is highlighting the cells that will be destroyed in the next click. So if the row is gonna be destroyed, the whole row is highlighted etc. Takes out the guessing game out.
Great idea! As we commented earlier, effects are a very important aspect of any game, and we are very interested in upgrading our skill set to make the game more enjoyable and clear to the user, also the feedback on the rate the difficulty grows has been said in other comments, so it's something we will look into as well, thanks!
Unique experience, I've never seen this before. Though I would like to see something like level system or a goal. Gameplay becomes repetitive and meaningless after 2 minutes of playing, even though these 2 minutes were pretty interesting.
Great game! Loved the text effects. Rate mine too? Rate Lock Up by Skwirlian for Brackeys Game Jam 2025.1 - itch.io
i love the art style and the gameplay! very simple but very fun! def gonna return. if you could add a download so i can archive it i would apreciate it :3
This is SO CUTE. The ending screen is perfection, adorable. Hilarious opening sequence, and the gameplay is very good. However I suck at this game a bit, but I think I can improve if I played a bit more. Nice and challenging. Sound design is great. HOOOOOMMMPH.
I loved the art style. and the humor. It was a bit difficult to understand the effect of what I was buying, but once I understood it, it became incredible fun. Loved the nom animation and sound!
Very cool! Would like it if the difficulty didn't ramp up as fast though. The art looks very pleasing and consistent.
