Really neat and funky game. NY City rat with a switch knife is 100% what I need in my life right now hahaha. Also the voice acting was dope!
After getting pizza on the tracks, I wasn't able to jump out. Maybe I missed something somewhere. Fun idea. I didn't really like the way the camera moved. It was disorienting. Cool music, but could also use some more animations.
Great artwork! At some point, I was using the swiss army knife and couldn't tell if it was hitting the rat enemy? Cool concept and chill music.

I'm not sure why you decided to use AI art for this. I think any hand drawn image would have worked better than the incoherent collage you had in the introduction.

Thanks for playing! We thought using AI art would save time but it probably took just as long to generate as it would have been to draw something haha. The title screen was handmade though!
I thought this was kind of fun actually. However even after I collected some food, I tried to press a key indicated for the inventory and nothing happened, and I could not damage the boss by clicking any mouse button or by pressing any key.
It's possible I got a one off bug, or was supposed to do something else, it's possible I might try the game again. I like the assets used for the subway 3D environment, the controls seemed to work for the most part and felt smooth. I like that it was possible to get back up by jumping on the boxes after falling down, something about that felt pretty satisfying.
Hmm, our weapons system could use some testing. We were going to have multiple weapon types but had to prioritize other aspects. Thanks for playing!
interesting idea, with more time I think it can be very engaging game. For sure some info about which station you are currently on as when traveling to other station there is no real visual feedback

unfortunately i can not play this game on my Mac, would have loved to if i read about the voice acting and stuff, but gave it a rating based on cover art and other’s comments
Still learning how to port to other platforms, maybe by the next jam we'll have it worked out lol

I think the game is really cute! The voice acting and concept behind it are very fun as well.
I definitely hit a point where I had no idea what to do pretty fast. I beat the first rat, talked to Remy, and found two slices of pizza. After that, I tried using the teleporters, but every time I did, it played a whoosh sound effect and I stayed in the same location.

Thanks! We used the same map to save some time but each whoosh was a new destination. We'll eventually add some transition to make it more apparent.
Enjoyed playing the game it was clear a lot of effort was put into it. The artwork was really funny! Voice acting was incredible too.

I couldn't wrap my head around how this fits into this jam's theme. The graphics are nice, but not the performance problems. I was able to beat the rat in the middle, talk to remy but couldn't find a way to find and give him 8 cheese. Was there a way forward?

We should have looked into performance, still pretty new to this and developed on a beefy desktop. There is a way to get all the cheese, the corners of the map serve as a teleporter to the other areas. We unfortunately ran out of time to implement the second stage of the game, taking over New York City which would have been "the storm".
