How does your game fit the theme?
First "Calm" represents something that seems easy and peaceful, like a game in easy mode.
Then "Storm" represents something that happens out of nowhere and is difficult to deal with.
In my game the calm represent killing slimes without much difficulty and then when fight the boss it become a storm since it's much stronger than the others
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I used assets found in itch to make the map, player and enemy.
The main menu, game over screen and win screen art I did it myself.
Songs and music also got in itch

The gameplay is quite fun but the player's attack range is way too small, resulting in the player taking a lot of damage from enemies.
However, the visuals are nice to look at and fit the calmer atmosphere of the game. The audio is well implemented as the music is also nice to listen to and fits the atmosphere while the sound effects are satisfying and give the actions additional impact.
Overall, solid game 👍
I thought you took those environment assets straight out of Seiken Densetsu 3! xD It's a decent little hack 'n' slash game, with nicely chosen art and music. I felt the range of my weapon was way too short and the normal slimes had too much health. Good job!
cute slasher! i like the environments and the style, biggest suggestion is i wish i had a shield or a dodge button or something since i struggled with how much the slimes stick to you. otherwise great work and thank you for sharing!
Charming and simple game. I like it, but I'd love to see more enemies or maybe even a special ability. But it is still a fun, chill game!

Nice pixel graphics, it's cheerful. The combat system would probably benefit some augmented range for the sword, I had the impression that I was almost always hit when trying to deal damages, but maybe I'm just not that good ! I didn't find any potion for healing, maybe that could also be a nice addition considering the difficulty.

I like the art and concept of the game; this is the dark soul of top-down pixel art games, though it's tough, lol.
Full controller support would have been really nice for this one. I also would have liked the hitbox on the attack to be a little bit bigger, felt like I had to hit the enemies frame perfect and move immediately if I wanted to avoid damage.
I still like the game in spite of that, however, good work!

I think I went a little overboard when make the combat system hard, I got some ideias from people here, like doing knockbacks to help the player.

You can use different fonts. An example would be a pixel font since the asthetic of the game is pixel art. An additional feature you could add is by creating your own button sprites rather than using a brown square.
I really like the pixel aesthetics of this game and I found it quite charming. It also controls quite well!
I would say that often found that I would get hit whilst trying to hit enemies (maybe introduce some knockback), and also the range of the weapon could be increased juuust slightly for a bit more leeway when attacking.
