Decent game, liked the mechanic of having a limited number of bullets before having to reload for a few seconds and the visuals have a minimalist pixel art style that looks clean. Wish there was music as well as extra sound effects to improve the user experience.

Still, well done! 👍

Very unique and fun game with fitting music and decent visuals that make good use of 2D and 3D assets together. Wish there were some sound effects though.

Still, well done! 👍

Fun game with decent visuals and sound effects. The music was a bit too loud as it drowned out the sound effects. Though, you get to drink vodka for healing, so that's pretty cool.

Well done! 👍

Interesting

Nice wee game where you eat small fish avoiding big fish. The gameplay is quite fun as the player fish grows bigger, which allows them to eat fish that were previously fatal to player, but to maintain challenge, even larger fish comes into play! After a while, the player goes along a river, which is also fun to play as the player needs to dodge obstacles and they have the ability to slow down time. The performance in the river section determines how many lives the player will have the next time they're underwater, creating a cohesive gameplay loop.

The visuals are well made and fun to look at. The music is relaxing and fitting for the game's theming. The sound effects are sensible and make the game feel more responsive.

Overall, very well done! 👍

Funny

Extremely fun endless game! I like how every time you clear the level, a new element is added to it whether the element is a platform or obstacle. Speaking of obstacles, it's very fun to destroy them using the ninja's move set as it makes you feel very powerful while also requiring caution from the player to avoid accidently getting hurt. The visuals are striking as they make use of silhouettes with colour saved for important elements such as obstacles and the player. The music fits the ninja gameplay quite well. The sound effects adds flair to the action and makes the game more responsive. Finally, Sensei is pretty cool.

Overall, especially since this was seemingly made in TurboWarp, very well done! 👍

Decent game with well made visuals and sound effects. Wish there was music though.

Fun puzzle game! The visuals are simple yet pack a lot of juice through the effective use of particle effects, animated text and shaders. The music is very relaxing to listen to and having it slow down during programming is a very nice touch. The sound effects make the game responsive, but they can be a bit loud at times. The programming mechanic is solidly implemented and I'm glad that not everything is tied to the loop as being able to move freely made the game more enjoyable, though having an indicator showing where the programming loop begins would be nice to have as it could provide extra clarity to the player.

Overall, very well done! 👍

Fun and chaotic game where the player delivers packages straight to the people while avoiding running them over and taking caution of the emerging oil puddles, which add to the chaos and fun. The sound effects give a good sense of responsiveness and are hilarious! Wish there was music though. The visuals communicate essential information to the player quite well, but they do lack variety and look a bit plain. On the other hand, the scream button was a very nice and funny addition.

Overall, well done! 👍

Not the most intuitive to pick up and play, but once you learn how to play, it's quite a lot of fun. The player shoots rubbish to guide the blue robot away from the dark red robot and score points based on the rubbish shot. There's also obstacles that slows down the blue robot, which spices up the gameplay, making the game even more hectic and fun. The visuals are well made and use the synthwave art style to make the game look more unique. The music is perfectly intense for the gameplay while also being a jam to listen to. The sound effects are goofy, but give a good sense of responsiveness to the gameplay.

Overall, solid game! 👍

I disagree with this game being 'bad'.

For starters, there's the solid main mechanic of the player only moving in a specified direction and having to rotate the direction in a set pattern. You could surprisingly do a lot with that. (And hey, that's another way the game fits the loop theme)

Then, there's the unique visuals making use of the letter Q as background particles as well as the player sprite, which looks nice and gives the game its own identity. The music is nice to listen to and the player sound effects give a sense of responsiveness, though there could be more sound effects. There also some bugs, but they don't really hinder the experience and, especially for your first game, are not a deal breaker.

Overall, decent game! 👍

Jamal goes on a lovely adventure.

Scored 4335, fun game! 👍

Very comedic game! The mechanics are simple yet fun, which is perfect for a local multiplayer game like this. The visuals have a rough sketchy art style, which helps to instil a comedic tone while also being legible. The music sounds goofy, further instilling the tone. But the sound effects cranks the comedy to the max with the Loopies going 'Wee!' and 'Help me!'

Well done! 👍

(Also very accurate nutrition label)

What do we have here? A phenomenal game consisting of a unique and fun gameplay loop of throwing and catching with additional elements such as stars and bumpers to encourage riskier throws. In addition to that, very well made visuals and audio that create a very relaxing and cosy atmosphere.

Absolutely spectacular! ⭐

Fun wee game about balancing 3 colours to a specified amount using circuits. The visuals have a balanced mix of typical haunted house architecture and sci-fi elements such as the pipes and electronics, which create a unique atmosphere. The music sounds nice and fits the tone of the map. The sound effects makes the game feel more responsive for the player. The quips of dialogue between levels and when the player falls down are quite funny.

Overall, very well done and certainly forklift certified! 👍

The ultimate motion sickness test.

Joking aside, it's a cool meme game with a good amount of customisability, just wish there was more to it, including having some audio.

AYOOOOO 🤣🤣🤣

It even has decent controls as well!

That N64 game but 2D and actually super fun to play.

Really liked that you get downgrades at the end of each round, so you have to decide which downgrade would be the least intrusive during gameplay, resulting in chaotic yet enjoyable gameplay near the end. The visuals have a charming and goofy art style which matches the comedic tone of the game. Same goes with the music. The sound effects give the action additional depth, which combined with the particle effects, create a very responsive user experience. Finally, the references to the source materials are great. If I had to nit-pick, the background could have more details such as clouds. Overall, very well done! 👍

I was drawing the most random shapes, and yet the game was an absolute blast to play!

The gameplay mechanics of drawing knots and having viruses die on specific amounts of knot crossings go together very nicely while also creating unique gameplay and fitting the jam's theme. The visuals are well made and detailed while also clearly communicating information to the player. The sound effects make the viruses feel very satisfying to kill while the music is relaxing to listen to. Finally, the dialogue between the 2 characters served as a nice bonus to the main gameplay. Overall, very well done! 👍

This is so out there XD

The UI is clean and game mechanics shockingly encourages a lot strategy. Solid game 👍

Fun wee game with a unique method of movement that fits the theme. The art style looks cosy while also visually communicating to the player(s) on what different objects do using colours, so red hurts a player, magenta is solid and grey is a collectible. The music is nice to listen to and fits the cosy aesthetic presented by the game. Wish there were sound effects though. To top it off, the game even has an option for local multiplayer up to 4 players, with the buttons being decently spread out to allow comfortable gameplay.

Overall, well done! 👍

Don't press F12 on Opera GX, worst mistake of my life!

Joking aside, this is a very cool story game with meta elements that help the player to have a similar feeling of tension as the fictional developer. The art style is simple yet clean looking. The audio present (the rain and music) fits the tone of the game and sounds pleasant, though the game could have additional sound effects to give actions more weight and responsiveness. Overall, very well done! 👍

Very fun mashup of racing games and slither.io! The neon art style pops out and looks solid. The music is pleasant to listen to while fitting the tone of the game. Wish the sound effects were less screechy and had more pitch variation.

Fun game where you hunt a big frog, complete with solid pixel art and audio, plus a well made comic at the beginning of the game. Very well done! 👍

What I mean by more polish is adding more visual details when certain actions take place such as having particles emit from the player when they get hit in the precipitation stage or collect droplets in the condensation stage. It also means having mechanics feel less janky and more consistent such as having the jumping in drainage city/forest being tied to just one button or having the platforms consistently bounce the player in evaporation. Finally, try to have a shared common pixel size for the pixel art to avoid pixel size inconsistencies as well as to make the game feel more polished.

Still, you did a good job with the game 👍

A solid educational game that takes advantage of the jam's theme very well! It even comes with narration providing facts! (Even though likely you'll be focusing on the minigames more)

The pixel art looks fairly solid, the audio is quite soothing and the minigames provide variety within the gameplay. However, I wish the minigames were more polished.

Very fun word game with the unique mechanic of connecting words by their first and last letters and creating a loop from that. It also has a simple yet clean visual style. It's a shame that there were issues with the audio.

Still, it's solid fun 👍

Decent game with a consistent visual style and a fun little story. Wish the map was more varied and fun though. The game could also benefit from having more sound effects. The teleporter making a sound jumpscared me lol XD

Would play again 👍

A fun little arena game with a nice and consistent art style and juicy sound effects. You can also swap out the audio and visual assets in the 'Assets' folder, allowing for simple mod support. Very cool

A fun roguelike game with some rhythm elements that creates audio to bop. Topped with a clear and consistent visual style (including the squishy jelly), it's a unique yet solid experience.

Interesting

Nice wee game! The boss was simple yet interesting to fight as the player has to decide between dealing as much damage as possibly to the boss and potentially risking taking damage, or to send the boss back to the blue window room but deal less damage in the process. The controls are very simple and intuitive as there's only 2 buttons and the mouse pointer to use, making the controls very easy to adapt to.

The visuals are simple yet pleasant to look at as it mostly uses colour and basic shapes to show what objects are what, making it easy to understand the objects from a gameplay perspective. The music complements the gameplay well and the sound effects give the player's actions more impact. However, I do wish the game made more use of the theme.

Overall, I enjoyed this game and it was very satisfying to win at the end!

The controls are simple and easy to grasp due to the small amount of inputs there are, which makes the gameplay more streamlined. Each music track fits their respective boss very well, and the sound effects are very satisfying and add impact to the gameplay. The visuals look very nice and have a low poly art style with the characters being made from simple shapes such as cuboids and cylinders, which makes the game stand out and have its own charm. Each boss has their own unique attacks such as the lasers with the robot or the spider summon with the spider, which gives each boss its own identity and helps to keep the gameplay fresh. The theme was used quite well with the player's weapon being a flail that spins around and the bosses having spinning themed attacks.

Overall, I had a lot of fun playing this game! This is a very solid game!

Enjoy! https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3297305

Trackpad user's worst nightmare... (Only made to the second boss)

Jokes aside, from what I've seen, the visuals are well made and perfectly encapsulate the 80's using a low poly style. This is complemented very well with a music selection that sounds like the 80's as well as sound effects giving feedback for certain event occurring. Also, the intro cutscene is the stuff of gold.

The theme is basically baked into the game's design as the game revolves around exercise bikes and having the bosses defeated by spinning the scroll wheel while avoiding projectiles within a rotating bounding area. The controls are fairly intuitive and are easy to get a grasp on (If you have a proper mouse that is)

Overall, despite the curse of the trackpad, I enjoyed this game quite a bit! This is a solid game!

Having the player on the spinning vinyl record is a great way of having the game relate to the theme! The controls were easy to get used to and the cooldowns in the bottom left helped to indicate what actions are available. The visuals are decent, but some areas like the options UI could definitely use some refinement. The music for the menu is very relaxing and the music for the first boss fits the western style of the character, however after the first boss, the music cuts off, which results in dead silence as there's no sound effects in the game, making the atmosphere of the game unintentionally eerie.

However, I still had some fun playing the game and what's present is pretty solid! Keep working on this if you can!

Once you get used to the controls, damn this game is fun! The bosses are challenging yet fair and they're all distinct with unique attacks and second phases, though the first boss can be quite demanding for new players. The music slaps and the sound effects complement the action well. The visuals are well made and manage to have a lot detail for pixel art. I really appreciate that blue coloured attacks can be deflected, which makes them easy to see. Though I wish certain attacks like the laser cannons in the second phase of the second boss where easier to see. I also wish the theme was more involved than just having a spin attack for the player.

Overall, this is a very solid game!

I really enjoyed playing this game! Despite there only being 3 attack types, each boss manages to feel a bit unique as some bosses might take longer to do a specific attack or a certain move exposes the boss for a critical hit (as indicated by the !?). It's nice to be able to tell when the boss is about to attack through the exclamation icon (the !). These factors made fighting the bosses fun and challenging while not being unfair. A good example is the final boss, where sometimes the boss will do a double attack, other times it will do a long wait before an attack. Because of the icons, with enough practice, I was able to beat the final boss.

The controls are very simple, consisting of only 4 buttons, which makes it very easy to grasp how to play the game. Either WASD or the arrow keys can be used, which is very nice as it provides more options. The sound effects that are present help to give the attacks and dodges more weight, however I wish there was more sound effects as well as music to make the game even more immersive and epic. The visuals are nicely drawn and clearly communicate what actions the player should take, but the sprites look fuzzy for some reason. Also RIP theme.

Overall, this is a solid game!
