this was so amazing but as others have said i think the speed at which you have to press keys for lift off needs to be lowered a bit. almost cramped my hands doing it lmfao. also i didn't get to experience it in fullscreen as the window would stay the same size in the corner when i clicked the button. animation was so gorgeous though and i would so love to see more of this <33

bahaha i don't own an android so i'm not sure if it's possible with the current version, but i'm working on an expansion to BLOODSONG at the moment and i'll be sure to include android support. thank u sm for your interest and i'm sorry it took ages to reply i've been super busy these past few months!! hopefully you get to play it soon if you haven't already!!
The rules of the puzzle could obviously do with a clearer explanation but you didn't fail at all and like I said it's a really cute idea for a mini-game that's casually engaging and fits perfectly in the story/world. I totally think it's worth tweaking for future iterations of this series. I'm a little bit biased of course but to me video games are way more than traditional notions of gameplay. You clearly have a talent for storytelling in this medium and if people are missing that because of a confusing but totally workable puzzle then that's their loss :P And yes I remember seeing episode 1 in that video I was really happy when it came up!! Very well deserved.
I missed out on Brackey's 25.1 being busy with uni but I'm gonna do everything in my power to set aside time for 25.2 :} Whatever project you end up doing for it I'm really excited to see!!
And thank you so much!! I was really happy with how BLOODSONG turned out, super eerie and bleak. My next big goal with my projects is to create something larger and more comprehensive that I can release to Steam but it's a lot of work and I seem to have less and less time for these things. Also I'm useless with marketing myself and my art so I'll have to work that out too. I love working on shorter contained stories and fleshing out their weird, fucked up worlds but I definitely feel like it's time for me to step up my game... no pun intended :9
I thought this was so cool and the visuals and little noises they all make are so cute. The whole atmosphere is lovely. The only problem was I couldn't work out how to get past level 3. I have no idea if it was glitched or if I was missing something super obvious but I think I tried every combination, including leaving them on the side. Please let me know if there's a way to get past it because I'd love to keep playing :3
I finally had a chance to play this!!! Your art and animations are absolutely gorgeous and the intro literally gave me goosebumps it was so perfect. I had a bit of trouble trying to understand the puzzle but I got through it with trial and error. Really cool concept though I'd love to see it used again or expanded on in future parts of this project. I'm super excited to play episode 3, I want them to find a new home!!!! <33

Surreal and pyschocosmically doomed yuri. Freaky retro visuals. Presents a pretty compelling answer to the questions you stopped asking.
15-20 minutes in length. 2500 words.

damn thats a huge improvement in such a small time span. and placing 11th in graphics is massive given how competitive the category was. you should totally be proud of what you've made.
this was my first jam and i joined half way so i'm extremely giddy over 9th. normally i'm anxious about putting myself out there like this but im really thankful i pushed through that. plus with the kinda unorthodox nature of my project it feels so great to get the affirmation i'm doing something right :p
do you have any plans for your next jam? i think i'm gonna take a few weeks to chill before i look at doing another lmao
pretty much exactly my project. weird/pretty visuals mixed with confessional prose. wish i could check out your project, sounds very up my alley (and similar to my game lol), but i'm on mac :/

really impressive game for the time period. as others have said the controls can be a bit awkward but otherwise this is fantastically put together. the storm/wind mechanic was also really fun to play around with. visually the game is great but in several sections there's a lot of empty screen space that if nothing else could use a prettier background. otherwise again amazing work and thank you for sharing!!
surprised how few ratings this has! music and art are excellent and cutscene at the start was a very welcome surprise. progression of the gameplay loop was interesting and having multiple endings is always fun. definitely need a volume button though lol and if you work on this in future i think it would be cool for speedrunning to add a scoreboard to track how fast you can get to each ending. great work and thanks for sharing!
this was cool, the character was really cute :3 weirdly it made me feel like i was playing 'the floor is lava' lol. i think visually it would be interesting if instead of the cooldown bar the character themself changed colour. also i ran into a bug a few times where i think if i was moving as i respawned i'd get locked in the storm and have to restart. otherwise the music and animations have great personality and the core mechanic is cute too. thanks for sharing!
mel's tracks are so pretty i'm really pleased with how the atmosphere turned out. i'm actually already planning on adding to the stories of each photo after the voting period has finished. would you mind clarifying what you mean about it going into something else? also i'm glad you didn't find the writing cringey lmao. thank you the feedback!
this is excellent. definitely my fav project i've played so far. the world totally draws you in and the weird png visuals sit right between unsettling and unusually calming? the vague breadcrumbs of narrative are so interesting too. what you've done with such a simple premise is really impressive. congrats on ur project and thank you for sharing it!
super cute and really well put together. even the little bits of exposition were good. the one thing i struggled with was that sometimes the calm patched would keep disappearing while i was catching a fish, so i'd lose them at the last second lol. but i'd love a full version of this with more upgrades and enemies. great work and thanks for sharing!
