How does your game fit the theme?
My game has a calm phase and a chaotic phase. Could not achieve much in the calm phase in the game jam since this is my first one
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

I think there is a glitch when I shoot, some animations play flickering in roughly the middle of the screen. Fun little game for a first game jam :)
Decent work for a first game jam. Would recommend more audio, music perhaps?
Pretty good game
its a pretty nice lil game!
Hope you will have the time to complete the game. Currently I can only note that it feels pretty smooth, though things like destroying fireballs require too much precision considering the size of the projectile.
Funny bug I've encountered is that attacks are queued and I clicked a minute of attacks in advance for myself :) This actually could be made into a good feature / easter egg if you want to continue the development.
Great character controller. The camera's smooth. The movement feels fluid. I like how the camera looks ahead to where I'm pointing. A single swing feels nice and responsive, but when spamming them, it's like there's a backlog of them coming for a few seconds. Nice looking game in general.
looks cool and playing is fun. Feels not quite finished though. But well done for the first jam! =)
"Submitted 49 seconds before the deadline" -> Hot!
Thanks for your time and feedback :)
Yes there is a lot more I had planned but could not make it in time!
I uploaded my game but the servers were slow so it probably took 10 mins and then I forgot, fortunately discord pinged and in the last 2 minutes, I was able to submit!
Game is clearly unfinished but has potential. Good job! Check out my submission, hope you will enjoy it!
Very nice sprites, the trees, water pools, and houses! I like the gameplay where you can control the direction of the sword with the mouse; it felt great! As for the difficulty, it's a new Dark Souls in 2D. Greetings!
Thanks for your time and feedback :)
I spent the first half of the jam just tweaking the map and character visuals, better time management will allow me to make more of the game systems in the future and hopefully now I have some familiarity with the tileset system.
The battle tempo is actually quite good. Hope to see your next game!
Thanks for your time and feedback :)
I am excited to make more games too!
Good map design! Good use of the animations and sprites! Shocked this is your first game jam submission, very well put together :)
Thanks for your time and kind words :)
I spent a bit too much time on polish and smoothness before creating the game which maybe wasnt such a good idea, but I am happy I did it and learned a lot and your kind words make it worth it!
Dark Souls 2D be like lol
Hopefully you'll also try mine:D https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690?after=20#post-10969722
Thanks for your time!
Making a game as cool and have amazing balance in difficulty in dark souls would be the dream!
I checked yours, its too good, congrats!
Fun and pretty fast paced and challenging . Wasn't sure what to do after killing all the enemies, guess I might have finished the game.
To improve it maybe the game could include some audio, but other than that really nice job on the game!
Thanks for your time and feedback!
Couldnt make the end screen so it could be finished in 3 mins I guess, time management was poor so there is a lot of improvements possible which couldnt be made within deadline.
Audio is the most popular feedback that I got and I will plan for it in the future.
I was dying very very quickly! Too hard! You have to balance the difficulty of this game. The animations are cool
Thanks for your time and feedback!
The slimes are broken at the moment, in some previous builds I added a knockback effect but removed it because it was annoying, couldnt tune the difficulty much at the end.
I like the game, well done for your submission. Things were going too fast, so I was dying very quick. I could see what you where going for as I was aiming for something similar too. You could start by just having one enemy and the 3 or 4 and so on. I couldn't hear any sound or music, that would make the experience better. Well done for the game.

I needed more time for enemy placement, my time management wasnt great and most of the game came together in the last 2 days, spent way too much time with tilesets and polish, so placement is completely random.
Will plan for audio and music in the future game jams.
I think I defeated all enemies :D
Great art and good use of the sprites. Would have benefitted a lot from audio and some music. I could spam the attacks, maybe a little cooldown would help with it. The enemies are also a bit too fast for me(might be a skill issue).
Kudos for completing your first jam!!
Thanks for your time and feedback :)
I have a friend who might join in the future for the music, and for effects maybe ill just do with low budget effects at home in the future.
Slimes are broken currently they stick to you and cause too much damage, the fireballs can be protected with the cursor.
Art and animations are good! I wish there were some sound effects for the slashes, but overall good job!
Thanks for your time and feedback :)
When I looked through submissions I felt the audio would be the easiest addition to get better feedback, will plan for that in the future.
Really like the artstyle! You also did a great job implementing the visual effects. Wished there's some sort of sound effects to make the combat feels more impactful. Great job!
Thanks for your time and feedback :)
I thought about creating low budget sound effects at my home but could not get around to it.
the movement and attacking feel great! I think adding continuously spawning enemies like you said would already add a lot of fun playtime; also realized I could snipe enemies from afar and they would just stand there, so you could make them aggro if damaged
Thanks for your time and feedback
Aggro on damage sounds good, maybe the attack should also have a shorter lifetime too so it doesnt aggro someone across the map.
