It was just 2 days so not a big deal. Not being able to playtest also is common for shorter game. (I could not even fully make my game so playtesting was not on the plate)

I have done the same mistake of restart not resetting global state in one of my earlier jams too :) .

I played for a long time, before I even could read the text, i became a millionare and unlocked everything

at 300 billion coins earned my macbook started heating up and it got pretty laggy. (even in a game I could  not become as rich as elon musk)

Nice and polished and its amazing how much you could do in 2 days.

The goal was supposed to have activities that you can beat after you eat certain fish, which gives you more fish to do more activities.

The hog in between was the final boss that you can beat if you have all other fish.

Now doing all this would take atleast a week, this is all I could do now with not very nice time management.

Thanks for trying it out!

Went a bit too ambitious for a 2 day jam, also spent half of that time on not very important things (glad I learned but could have been done sometime else)

If i added a lot more activity and kind of gated different challenges on the number of fish, then it could have been interesting.

Thanks for playing!

so well executed and polished. I just could not stop playing.

Great stuff

Some of the weight calculations felt really off but could just be skill issue.

Stopped at 31 with 200.8 / 200g at 99.58% accuracy.

Nice First Game!

One bug - need to restart browser or restarting a game after game over instantly game overs.

Feedback:

- There is a decent amount of length, maybe a lot for just 4 lives so you have to just do a lot of retries

- Somethings like hot potato, I dont know what that is

- Some line of thinking doesnt match with your intention (like bread - pan moving in the ground)

- e should not work everywhere, only on objects and e should only work once on a single object(less important)

- Some assets were too low res (not much choice of assets, but maybe something went technically wrong since some were hard to tell what they are (maybe need to disable smoothing on pixel sprites)

Here is mine: (very unbalanced prioritization - wasted a lot of time on not very important problems)

Nice! Seems to boil down to luck though
How would you tackle that, if you were to continue this game, this would not be very replayable if only based on luck

Thank you for playing!

I also want to collect and combine different mechanics like 3D mario and hopefully make a full release, but I want to learn basic 3d modeling to be able to make worlds of my imagination that are interesting to explore.

The wall climb mechanic does need a lot more work to make it smooth.

Good stuff.
The slow discovery process is nice, how things are scored and so on.
What becomes a rare place I could not figure out and did not spoil myself.

Thanks for playing!

That is the plan, take it further, have more interesting environments, more mechanics and have an actual game!

Yes the inverted controls were certainly not intentional: out of the 6 faces in a cube made of 3d axes, only 3 work properly, the other 3 invert the controls. Something I want to fix.

As for getting stuck, i made it so It only happens on jump, to give more space because at the edge model is halfway in the wall. But after jumping if the jump height is small when you touch the wall, I would assume you get stuck.

Yes, I think it also gets brighter in the web build, but there is a washed out vibe for sure. Darker lighting would certainly make it look better.

Thank you for playing!

Yes it was a lot more work than I imagined. Could not work on using the building blocks.

It is not perfect either, out of the 6 planes in 3d, only 3 work properly and the upside down planes revert inputs (not intended)

I beat it first try. The production values are good, but I thought it was not difficult, so such a game would require more push/pull for a bigger release.

The credits were a nice touch!

I think the art and effects were in the right direction but would require more, I got some Remedy game vibes here (thinking Control), with detailed environments, whiteboards. What kind of gameplay loop could be attached to this? I am not sure

But for the strange vibe this is a nice starting point! Nice work!

Nice game! rated and left a comment!

This is scary, specially the footsteps! I really enjoyed the ps1 aesthetic as well

It struggled a bit on the first run for the web.

Good stuff!

I really enjoyed your game and left a comment there!

Heres my tech demo 3d platformer

Truly the strangest game I played, it gave a lot of the vibes that "Thank goodness you are here" gave me. The breaking stuff is really satisfying.

Also surprising amount of locales and the mirage effect was surprising, felt right in place in the desert.

This is good stuff!

Amazing work!

Yes the death sound was me. I had planned to add a few more, but did not get enough time. Much like mario, I think 3D platformers needs to use and throw an idea fast and explore and mix many such ideas. That would be the goal if developed further.

I never thought of having a reason to control the mounts, that would be  an interesting topic to explore.

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Really nice game, I played until the green level where the enemy placement was tricky, the runback is brutal! I gave up after 3 tries.

My wish was faster movement, which would require changing a lot to maintain difficulty.

the crayon effect is nice

The quality is off the charts. This is only few iterations away from a polished full release.

For a full release, more would have to be done on the gameplay front and an overarching narrative maybe?

This is quality through and through, congrats!

Yes, precise jumping is off I noticed, I optimized it more for speed and covering big distance.

Thanks for playing!

Really nice game design, the old school CRT aesthetic is great.

The swipe effect is cool, though does not add too much yet.

Congrats on a great game!

(1 edit)

Here is my tech demo inspired by control resonant.
The wall climb/gravity shift took all my time, so there was no time for level design.

Edit: wow dude your game is insanely good! The game design is the best I have seen yet!

I found it a bit too dark to navigate, I usually keep my monitor on lower brightness, and I could barely see. I think it was intended but nice.

I thiin object pick up and click mechanic was not obvious (I was right clicking) but once I got it, it was smooth going.

I locked myself on the button that opens a small space.

Great work and cool concept!

Here is a tech demo 3d platformer which would take a minute or 2 to explore!

A really nice game that fits the theme perfectly.

The police are a bit too op I think and I felt the model was vibrating while moving, which felt jank even though overall was smooth.

The strange planets are great

I also did not expect myself to be kaiju size and humans being like chihuahua size.

Congrats on creating a cool game!

Nice work.

The atmosphere is dark, but some actions are goofy

It is a bizarre strange place.

The death animation is pretty funny too!

I had one run where someone extended their leg and I fell down, I never got that again

Really cool game!

Thanks for playing  :)

Really slick game!

my only annoyance was losing inputs when the multipliers?/upgrade screen showed up mid jump or something

It would also sometimes delete one of the inputs.

But the movement is really great and the shoot for boost is a rush!

Congrats on making a cool game!

Really good looking art and your page looks great!

There were lot of rules that had to be discovered, which was fun but I think it should be ramped up in complexity in a slower fashion for the full release.

Congrats on making a cool and interesting game!
