The movement is kinda confusing, some background would help

I was a bit disoriented at the start, bg could use a pattern. Other than that the grapple is super cool and my favorite thing to do is sling around at top speed.  Bosses could use a bit more health great work!

At first I didn’t understand how to move. I just spammed the boss with attacks and beat the game that way. Because there is no need to move, the game turns into a clicker. I think if you work on the balance, you will get something very cool.

Thanks for the feedback, I knew that there was likely to be a problem like that with balance, but I just didn't really have time to fix it before the deadline. I've been working on an update for when the jam finishes, so I will take this into account.

The movement mechanic is interesting, but took a bit of getting used to. As a grappling mechanic, it could feel more 'weighty' and less floaty. I agree with the person below who commented that the boss could be destroyed quite quickly - I found it helpful to grapple away from the boss, and then aim the mouse in the general direction of where its projectiles were coming from off-screen. This destroyed both the projectiles and the boss quite quickly.

Neat idea for the exchange mechanic. It's pretty easy to spam the attack button and destroy projectiles or quickly kill the boss before the health draining became a major concern. Adding in additional attacks that can't be destroyed, like melee attacks, would be a good counter to this strategy. I like the grappling mechanic as well, there's probably a lot of ways that could be expanded on.

This is a really interesting core mechanic, but it can be pretty frustrating to get a hang of. I would recommend giving a bit of a lull at the start of a battle to practice movement before the boss begins attacking. Also, the camera moves a little too much with the mouse, making the sense of space a little disorienting. But overall, this is a great idea and a nice start!

The core mechanic is so well made, great job.

Lovee the eerie atmosphere of the game haha! Well done! :D

Awesome grappling mechanic. Flipping between the two abilities works really well. I can easily imagine expanding on it with more weapons and different types of grapples. Might need an indicator or zoom out further as it's easy to get lost directionally with Boss. Great job!

Beat the game, I liked the art of all the bosses! Switching from shooting to grappling was fun!

I liked that you have to swap to shoot or to move, which makes the game very interesting. Good game :)
