I loved the music. Especially the skeleton boss one, it's so funny for a bone character. On the other hand I think the collider was a bit unfair. Otherwise very good game :). Please Rate for Rate

Thanks for your comment :)

A perfect game. Congratulations, I had a great time with your game! The tree boss was the most fun!

I liked that you have to swap to shoot or to move, which makes the game very interesting. Good game :)

I remembered Enter the Gungeon when I played it. The game is difficult but that's normal for a bullet Hell. The third boss teleports to your position causing you to lose life unfairly. Otherwise very good game. GG :)

Impressive graphics of your game. I really liked the use of the theme and how you interchange the powers in the middle of the battle against the enemies. Good game

The dash has a dead time to rest before shooting off in your direction, I was inspired by the Celeste dash. Thanks for playing :)

I remember that the bullet was set far enough away not to kill you when it was created, but you can reach it with a dash. Thanks for playing :)

Hello again. Here are some answers :)

* What do you think about game jams in general, and this game jam in particular? What do you think could have been better, and do you have any suggestions?

R/ GameJams seem to me an excellent idea to polish and expose your skills, as each topic is a challenge to solve. It's up to your creativity, time, effort and organization how you solve it.

This JAM I liked the theme as it is general enough to solve it in different ways. I would have liked a little more time (2 weeks) because not every day you can work on the game.

* What were your favorite video games?

R/ My favorite games for Jams are the ones that go straight to the point, that last about 5 minutes and that don't use too many external Assets. I think that using too many external assets is like cheating, since the person who really draws his characters will have a disadvantage to the assets that has had more time to do it.

Outside of Jams, my favorite games are RPG or Resource Management.

* Where do you think the strength of video games resides? What do you believe a video game should have to be a successful video game?

R/ I believe that for a game to be a success it must have a soul that identifies it and be faithful to it. For example, a game that has 3 mechanics and you use them throughout the game according to your way of thinking, is better than having 10,000 mechanics that will overwhelm you and you will only play with a maximum of 5.

As for graphics, it should not be GTA VI. That they have consistency to their color palette or that they have that soul is enough.

* If you would like, you can tell me a little bit more about yourself and your background, if you have any information you would like to share.

R/ I'm not an expert, I started game development in 2020 with Cassette Dance, the game you can see in my publications and every Game Jam I participate in I try to test new mechanics that I haven't tried before:

1. Cassette Dance: First game all new.

2. A Simple Postman: Isometric gameplay and inventory management.

3. You are the Firewall: Tower Defense.

4. Painting is a Risk: Leaderboard.

5. Trust Rabbit: Tilemaps and NPC chat.

6. Best Soldier: 2D game with wall jumping.

7. Forgotten Past: Top Down 2D game with Dash.

8. Bring Me Now: Isometric Pixel art with NPC Chat and leaderboard.

Thanks for your comments

I liked your game. Although at first the camera controls are weird, but when you get used to it you have a better time.

The bouncing with the big teapots I think is a bit exaggerated because it pulls you very hard to one side.

Otherwise I think it's a good game. Congratulations!

Hello.

Did you include any optimisation techniques or did you rather chose to include only the in-engine ones?

R/ No. As it is a small game and there is little time, I didn't see the need to optimize it in terms of grid and graphics in unity. Tiles are in individual and not in chunk which is less optimized. If I had to optimize it, I would use several grids for different areas of the map and they would be loaded and unloaded depending on where the player is.

What engine and tools did you use to create your game , your graphics ?

Engine: Unity

Graphic: Aseprite/Photoshop

Was it hard to develop your game ? did you experienced any challenges ?

R/ Yes, the isometric pixel-art is difficult to fit in the unity grid or at least I don't have a lot of experience with it. Also the layers issue and that some things are in front of others in certain places is complex to handle and is a limitation if you want to implement some additional mechanics.

what inspired you for your game idea , and the gameplay ? The Game's name  and stoty ?

Game idea: I simply wanted to make an 8-directional game with pixel-art. I was not inspired as such in another game. When I made the character walk around the stage I let the creativity fly free.

Gameplay: The theme is rivalry and one condition is a scoreboard, so what better than the weather being the rivalry. Now, as it is an 8-directional is like an open world, I had the idea that the character would bring things to someone and another NPC would block paths to fulfill the requirements of the JAM.

Game Name: The game is about bringing things so I thought of a direct order like bring me now!

Story: I thought it should have more story (More NPCs, More locations, More drawbacks), that's why there are so many items you can collect but in the end you use very few. Due to the time I had to cut a lot of things and in the end it was like this.

Thank you for your comment and time! <3

Whaaaat. How is it possible 35 seconds? hahahahahahaha

Thank you!

Thank you very much for this JAM, I had a great time developing and playing the games. -Forgotten Past

Hi. Please play in full screen to see the side edges.

In the first scenarios I show you what are the controls :)

Play in full screen to see the left and right boundaries.

Sorry, I don't know how to modify in itchio to make it load fully. I tried several ways but couldn't find it.

I liked the sound effects and the particles when the asteroid is destroyed. The inertia of the ship is handled well but I would have liked a little more difficulty.

The last level is very difficult so you eat lives very fast and I have to exit and re-enter frequently.

Otherwise excellent game.

I didn't expect Doom to be here. Good game!

Sometimes it needed the full rotation and just comes back at the worst moment causing death.

The visual effects are fine. I would have liked to simply control the rotation.

Please play in full screen.

At first I didn't understand the puzzle, but once you understand it the game is very good.

Good sound effects, music and graphics.

I work all day on Saturday and I don't think I'll reach it. Can you give us an extra day admin?

There is a small possibility that you will get the message of 8 tanks, but you have the ability to buy 3 turrets at the beginning, these can kill up to 8 tanks at a time.
