The game controls very well and combats are quite fun! It's too bad the game feels very unfinished on multiple aspects :/
2 days only moment
Good game, I liked the sound effects and the idea, I wish there were more stages, the game in general is good ^_^
The feel of the movement and attacks is great! The game need some general polish.
Fun for a while.
The boss design is pretty basic but it works, I do feel some attacks from the second boss are a little cheap, in huge contrast to the first one that barely touch you, I did beat the second boss eventually, I was hoping for more. The first one is really easy to stunt lock.
The use of the theme is weak. Almost, it isn't present, Gathering guns to have a better bigger arsenal is pretty much in every game.
The positioning of the control feels weird, it doesn't feel right for a reason, The attack button in the middle of jump and dash is, at least for me, uncomfortable
Also, the character is not very responsive. Is hard to use the gun, it almost work as a long sword, instead of a projectile based weapon, something pretty infuriating is that it doesn't attack the enemy if the sprite is between the gun and the target.
The music is cool, sound effects are ok, but they are way to compressed (lower quality), if the intention was to make them 16 bits is, I think they still need a little bit of work.
The visuals are pretty, best part of the game, the sprite work is really good, animations and all, but without better backgrounds those graphics don't shine as they could
Thanks for the feedback. Boss balancing basically went out of the window since I only joined this jam during its last two days and its definitely something I want to fix post-jam. On the other hand, you can get faster clear times if you don't just stun lock bosses.
I liked the pixel art and the animations, the gameplay is fluid and make sense as it was quite intuitive, overall a good entry! Good Job!
Its a fox and it has a gun, what surprise this game was, while it looks quite basic it actually plays well, with very solid gameplay and controls, and the concept of the fox gun I quite liked, I might be biased towards action games but overall quite a fun play through, excellent job!
Yo I loved this game, the aesthetics were really cool and the movement felt really fluid. The boss designs were also quite unique and left me wanting for more!
I gotta say, the thumbnail definitely drew me into this game, and I was not disappointed! I love the art style, and the movement feels sufficiently fluid and complex, despite the somewhat wacky controls. The boss designs were exceptional, and definitely held my interest- I just wish there were more of them! Definitely a great entry overall.
My type of game! The protagonist is very cool, I liked it! The sound effects and boss music is on point. A little bit more polish on graphics and this game can pop a lot more!
Great game!
wow this game is so nice !! Good animation !!
Nice beat-em-up feel to this game. Though the hitstun is a little OP and you can mostly spam knife attack to win. Really nice animations and FX (esp on the fox gun)
lil hint : You can get much faster clear times by not spamming~!
My socre : 93:30
The feeling of gameplay is super pleasant and fluid (especially the counter)
the rendering of the fox gun is great and is fun to use.
a big gg for this work
Thanks for playing! If you've figured out there's a counter, you might be able to get a clear time of less than 30 seconds~
