How did you/your team interpret the theme?
A ubiquitous prop in tons of different kinds of games that would be interesting to have become alive and destroy both good guys and bad guys.

How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
This was my first jam and I feel very pleased that I could get a decent game with a weird gimmick done. The mechanics changed wildly as time went on. Also I had a sinus infection for most of this jam.

Great concept but it also causes nausea

After so much crazyness rolling around the screen and tried to figure wich side is which but the game was beaten in 4 minutes... it gave me the dizzy but it's an interesting and funny idea!

This made me laugh but I couldn't handle more than a couple minutes due to the spinning mechanic causing motion sickness. Gave me terrible flashbacks to watching people play Mohawk & Headphone Jack for the SNES. Definitely a niche mechanic that causes problems in some people.  Still a funny idea.

Camera rotation and controls made my head hurt but I like the concept! would be really cool if you could also effect the environment.

This game made me laugh! In a good way! I enjoyed the concept quite a bit. I tried it for awhile but the gameplay is really awkward. I would love to see the control scheme cleaned up so it is more enjoyable. Nice work.

Cool concept and nice art. The gameplay is quite chaotic, but ultimately I enjoyed being thrown around like a ping pong ball.

The art is nice and the concept is really cool but like other have said the camera rotation is a bit too much, it's hard to play for a long moment without feeling dizzy.

I love the idea of sentient barrel. It would be fun to see more all around mayhem. As mentioned in other comments - it felt dizzy after a while. Maybe camera could only tilt to a certain degree? Or maybe lock in 90 degree intervals? Good job on completing the game!

The game turned my perception

I love the concept, and any game that starts with a button labeled "become sentient" gets a good laugh out of me. The pixel art is also really good, and I love the idea of using the explosion as a second jump.

However, I'd consider removing the rotating camera. Other than making me very dizzy, it also messes with the controls whenever you end up upside down. It also feels rather weird that heroes (and enemies) still spawn when it says there's 0 of them left.

If you do want to keep the feel of being thrown around, maybe consider upping the knockback on everything?

Other than that, the game was pretty good! I'd love to see this expanded with more enemy and hero types, or something.

Cool concept! It was quite fun, but really hard when they are too much camera rotation. I enjoyed the game still :)

Intersting game ^^

The pixel art nice clean, and the core game concept is easy to understand.
The rotating camera is just, idk. was it necessary? I feel like it doesn't add anything other than motion sickness to the game.
that aside though, it's a nice little game that I finished in 3:03 Minutes :P

Thank you! I do agree the rotating camera might be a bit much though haha, I was going for having the player feel like they were really getting tossed around like an inanimate object, and it ended up being a bit extreme unfortunately. The game felt a bit boring without it, though.
