I used BeepBox for the first time, Great tool!

How did you/your team interpret the theme?
Everything is about the hero, and that isn't you. You're just the housecarl.

How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
This was a really rough week for me and my family, so what started as a week to work on it, became a week to think about it and about 5 hours to do stuff. I am very glad to have something to submit.

Cool game and it was a very nice touch the voice of the guy haha

I don't know if it was intentional or not but I think that or I moved too slow or the NPC was too fast haha

Developer

thanks for playing! The speed was intentional. You are just a little....slower.

I was so confused and then it dawned on me what was happening. I have to admit, I did actually laugh out loud!

I like the dialogs, they need a little more emotion, also i didn't knew what to do and how until the devil (or hero?) came back and opened a path breaking a wall and i saw the character moving, so i started following him until the end.

In 5 hours of work you made a decent and funny toy.

thanks for playing! Lol, that is like, 10x more emotion in my voice than usual. My friends tell me I should emote more

LOL!

Hey! It's a simple and neat game. We similarly took the prompt. I like how the hero punches through the walls of the dungeon instead of going around finding paths. Also, the badgering in the background was funny.

I was thinking of the same thing, actually, the part where my hero badgers in the background while the side character (the player) gets annoyed at how narcissistic the strong hero was. I didn't have the time to develop it, but seeing it on your game scratched the itch.

Good job on your game!

Developer

Yeah, I got a late start, so I cut as many corners as I could. No pathfinding algorithms? its a feature now!

I liked yours and I think it could go farther than mine. Let me know if you flesh it out more!

The first time I played I was very confused because the game started right away and the camera only aimed at the red character, so I thought it was just a cutscene.

but once I understand and play it, it's a pretty good game, simple but interesting concept and also great music.

good job.

A good game... just seems to be a bit laggy. The music is also good and the comments by the hero are funny. The game isn't very immersive though... But it's good. Although this reminds me of another game submitted for this game jam which is basically the same... just a little bit different (Please Sire is the name I think or something similar).

Developer(+1)

thanks! Yeah, your character doesn't really need to be there, but that's sorta the point.😅

I thought the badgering was hilarious. The game play was straightforward. I'd love to see this expanded upon.

Developer

thanks! I spent my car rides this week telling myself jokes in a funny voice like a crazy person. I got about 25 of them in there, so you can't hear them all on a single run.

You are literally not the hero, quite frankly i was confused at first but then the idea made me laugh, good job!

Developer

Thanks! My favorite feature is that not even the camera cares about you.
