Surprisingly fun game! Neat concept, the art and sound were used quite nicely, and the parody names got a laugh out of me.
There's two issues, though. is that the location descriptions were fairly confusing. They either showed only one stat to prioritize, or none. Some were fairly obvious, too, like the "Fighting in Area 61" needing strength, but "Find our missing friends!" with no other description is quite confusing.
The other problem is that locations show up randomly, so it's pretty easy to get a big streak of heroes but no locations. I'd make heroes randomized, but fix the location, like maybe you start with X location and you have to find a hero that fits good enough within X time limit or it disappears for a different location.
Other than that, the game's pretty good. Hero management agency is such a good concept it'd be a shame to not expand on!
thank you for the feedback.
The locations are not supposed to be so obvious like the "Area 61" hahaha. But I understand some of them are quite hard to figure it out. Each location prioritizes 2 stats. "Find our missing friends!" prioritize speed and intelligence.
I figured the randomness could cause some problems like that. I think some tweaking to it could solve them.
I think the bigger problem is that the locations don't mention both stats. The picking mushrooms location even though it wasn't that obvious I figured out was based on strength and intelligence since it mentions picking up mushrooms and finding the right ones. Rewriting the locations along that line might be better, like "Find our missing friends!" might be something along the lines of "We need someone who can track our friends quickly!" or something like that.
yeah, good idea.
The game was super fun! I tried to get the best time possible and my best was something around 8 minutes :D Definitely one of my favourite games in this jam! Huge respect for interesting interpretation!
thanks for the nice words :D
Good time though, one of the best so far.
The parody heroes (and sheer number of them) are hilarious! I love it! I think the hints could use a little tweaking. There are some locations I really had a hard time understanding just what stat they were looking for, while others are more obvious. Had fun, though!
thanks hahaha
Very good concept, also gameplay and art are cool!
That's very addictive, really great art design and music. Nothing confusing here, everything is simple and easy. Only thing I can criticise is that you made a beautiful mechanic but goal is not satisfactory I think. For example there can be some challenges that stops you from bad decisions. Only leaving it with a timer is a bit feels like missing motivation... Again I really liked the game. Good job...
Really love the concept, super fun idle game, the sprites are amazing.
A very fun little idle game, I like the sprites they're really cute and charming :)
Really beautiful game! The art, music, and sound effects were very nice. I would love to see the game expanded to allow more ways to spend your money. The game play was straight forward and made sense.
The concept of heroes for hire is cool, but I wish that there were more interesting aspects to managing heroes vs locations they're sent.

CRITIQUE:
thanks for the feedback. The locations description gives a tip for what they are looking for. Each location prioritizes 2 stats.
About the confusing UI: I knew that could be a problem so that's why I did the "?" screen so the player can understand it better ( I think it didn't work though haha).
This is a really cool concept. It reminds me of those clicker games, just without clicking. It really catches and you want to play it to the end. Great Game!
Great concept, cute pixel art and I really liked the music. Also some of the heroes names are funny. A very enjoyable game!
I love management games. This was fun!
Thanks :D
Hey I have seen that background as a Wallpaper, what? perhabs credit where credit is due?
I forgot to do that. Thanks for reminding me.
ah ok, nice ^^
Very nice game. The background is stunning work.
I see some potentiell here. If you expand the scope of the game and give either the heroes or the workplaces some additional effects and synergies you could have a small roguelike. As it is i am missing a little depth.
Anyway a good game made in a short amount of time.
thanks but the background was not made by me. I did the programming part and the title of the game. I like the idea of this mechanic but i wanted to keep it simple. Maybe in a future update ;D
