This is so awesome. It really felt like I was at work.
This game is really fun and has lots of character and charm. I'm super impressed by the amount of polish in just 10 days.
This game had a really clever idea and great execution. The level of polish was amazing!
the idea is excellent and the game well done, it's very challenging when popups arrive, but overall I really liked it, fun and original
Interesting game with lots of things to do.
amazing game
I loved it, nothing much to say its very cool ;)
THE GOOD PARTS
The game is actually fun to play, it’s REALLY challenging (which for me is good, although I definitely see it being TOO hard for some people [particularly for a jam entry]), the background music is superb and does the job well; the art fits the game’s atmosphere too and I didn’t get to find any bugs in my playthrough.
Also, I liked the humor of the game; it was a clever use of the word “fish” because if you’re a fish with a fish brain I doubt you could think of anything else but FISH.
However, there are some game design decisions that made me raise an eyebrow while I was playing this so…
THE BAD PARTS
This also happens after you lose the first time, and after you lose a couple of times more. It makes sense from the narrative perspective (I guess?) but from the game design perspective it introduces friction because I just want to try again and not wait until the instructor speaks about how dumb you are for not completing the tasks and installs an ad-blocker that doesn’t actually work on your computer and makes this section of the game completely useless; it’s blatant padding.
The File Explorer minigame is downright unfair; you’re faced with a bunch of folders and subfolders that you have to explore to search for a single file and when you DO find it, it has a password. I’m thankful because the location of the files doesn’t change so once you find it in one playthrough you can just focus on searching the code in the next one, but the fact that it’s very unlikely to complete it on the first try without it being evident it’s kinda sussy to me. Not necessarily a BAD game design decision but just something that made me go “Hmmmm…”.
I don’t see the theme in this game AT ALL. I don’t think “when you lose, you have to try again in an infinite loop until you win” is a valid interpretation of the theme because that’s basically the rule for all games (save a few exceptions like “One Shot” or “PetBuddy” [by the creator of Inscryption]). I’m sure many people were waiting for the “LOOP” theme to pop up somehow but that didn’t happen and it was a bummer.
CONCLUSION
In general terms it’s a fun game to play and it kept me entertained for the time I spent playing it and we have to give credit where credit is due: it set the bar really high for the other games I’m going to be reviewing in terms of quality and fun factor but, sadly, misses the jam theme COMPLETELY and I think that’s a big deal.
honestly the best constructive criticism i've ever seen for one of my games wow.
sooo to explain some of the narrative stuff.
there was supposed to be a whole other set of "virus" stuff that was supposed to hit the player after the ad blocker was installed (you know how like katfin tools was supposed to help the player) but that ended up on the cutting room floor because of time restraint paranoia. I do agree the narrative is a little bit chopped up, but hey I got some good jokes in there so whatever.
but thank you, for playing our game! I loved that you enjoyed your playthrough with it. the whole missing the theme thing is something I tend to struggle with but hey, it's still there somewhere.
Very nice and original, love the concept.
thanks for playing!!
Original idea and very well executed. I love this game. And i love fish. :D
fish! !
I have to start again the game so the virus isn't affect anymore.
Nice game! Was fun to play. But it gets a little frustrating with the virues.
Super original!
yeah the virus can be rlly annoying sometimes lol.
thanks for playing!
How dare you take an idea I wrote on a whiteboard once did nothing that said "limewire plus warioware" and make it a better more cohesive thing (I loved it 12/10)
funnily enough i haven't even played warioware lol
This should have more reviews :o
Liked the Recycle bin minigame hahaha
ps: sus

This game has been the best submission I've played on the Jam. Loved all the easter egg and whoever made the small jokes around the game has an amazing sense of humor. All the minigames are super fun. Music is super fun, intense when need to, Love it. I had an awesome experience with this game. I would advice you guys taking this game even further, I believe it has potential as a commercial game. Loved it 10/10. Awesome work guys!!!
Wahhh thanks for playing our game!!
I am glad that you liked all the "easter eggs"!
Fish + OS: genius idea!
This game is super cool! The gameplay itself is very fun, with all those small minigames, congrats to the one thinking them out and programming them. The visuals are pretty simple, but that makes them the right fit for Finux. The audio design is also very well done, I'm I love all the little beeps and boops :) I haven't found out how the theme was included in the game, but maybe that's just me.
Keep up the good work!

Aah, so this is the 90's tech, job experience.
Genuinely love the minigames they are so nice and simple. Because of the time limit there is a nice level of difficulty.
The small details for this game are on point!
Thanks for reliving the 90s tech job and playing our game!
The whole concept is just... *chef's kiss*. Humour on point. Sound design god tier. Awesome game, awesome work!
Thanks for checking out our game!
