Really cool take on the agar.io/snake.io style games, but like others have mentioned, I wish there was a bit more indication who will win in a given situation. Still very satisfying to play!

Cool game! Could be very satisfying with some tweaks.

The mouse capturing didn’t work for me and I lost control very quickly.

Congrats!

Interesting gameplay idea! There was something soothing / calming to it. I liked it!

Cool game. Played for quite a while.

Played for quite some time, but couldn't exactly figure out what would cause you to turn over a flock / or be turned over. Had some fun nevertheless!

this was fun! I also had a couple moments where I lost but thought I shouldn't have but it was still neat to play. Including the custom game mode is neat. I tried out all hunters and died immediately but watching them go was neat, very cool boid usage

Like others said, it’s kinda hard to tell which flock is going to win when two come together which can be a bit frustrating (my gigantic flock just got completely eaten up by a pack of three!). But it’s already fun, the concept’s good and for a jam game you’ve pulled it off well. Nice work :)

I like this kind of simulations :)

Nice game. However, couldn’t quite understand how you successfully steal planes from another leader.

Denser groups will win out. Also you can try to position your leader so it isn't in the very front sometimes because if it gets taken you loose instantly. Works both ways though, you can target their leader with a dense part of your group.

It's definitely not perfect, I would have liked to figure out a better system for capturing or at least make it more clear.

I think this is the most fun game of the jam I've played so far. I kept playing it over and over. I think you fit the theme well. I assume you used the boids algorithm? I'm excited to check out your source code and see how you did that in Rust + Bevy. My criticism: It got very frustrated trying to take over other flocks. It seems really random as to whether or not you're going to take over another flock or it's going to consume you. I couldn't find a consistent strategy, it really just felt like a 50/50 chance which got frustrating.

Yeah I feel like there is a better way I could do the calculation for the capture, currently each checks if there are more neighbors near it of another color, which means that if a flock is really dense can convert larger flocks easily. It kind of works once you know, but I was worried it will just be frustrating. Pro tip, bounce of the edge of the map before colliding with another flock to become really dense!
