I had to run the game in windowed mode with command line parameters (-screen-width 1280 -screen-height 720) to get 16:9 (my monitor is 16:10) before I could get anywhere. The game is surprisingly funny :)
very good
Cool game, everything worked for me, here's a few things i noticed.
I crafted the shoes before picking up the feather, then it told me I needed shoes, not a big deal. I like the interaction with the inventory and it telling you how to use it, I wasn't so keen on actually using the mouse scroll wheel for the inventory, it felt awkward to me leaving the keyboard just to use it. Nice balance on the puzzles, I needed to think a bit, which is always good. The story all ties together and i knew what i had to do throughout the game. I appreciate the mini wasn't too hard, when he said clean 10 plates, i got a cold sweet, worrying that i wouldn't be able to manage it, but all good in the end, nice touch to finish off the chef.
Good game well done.
Thanks for the review! The explanation of the inventory actually was a result of playtesting.
Got stuck in a few places, but the lo-fi vibe gets me anyway. Congratulations!
Where did you get stuck? I'd like to know that to improve in future games. Thanks for your comment!
I didn't know how much I missed the starting announcer-voice, until I heard that voice say this games name XD. This game is a great example of hard work and dedication. Excellent job!
I can't believe I've gotten this far in life without playing this game. It was truly a life changing experience. I do not think I will ever forget about the masterpiece known as The Stolen Gukki Bandana. Thank you for making this.
Several times I had to go through because of a bug with loading locations (they didn't load), but finally I found THE GUKKI BANDANA. I really liked the visual style and atmosphere, but this pleasure is too short.
Thanks!
Nice one and really interessting congratulations !
Thanks!
This was a charming game. I like the intentionally lo-fi aesthetic. Unfortunately a lot of the things are off the side of the screen for me, probably you built it only to work with a specific monitor aspect ratio. But I was eventually able to find them by constantly pressing E while walking up and down the sides of the screen and complete the game.
Thank you for your comment. It should work with a 16:9 Aspect Ratio. Are you playing on a 4:3 or Ultrawide Aspect Ratio?
I second this sadly, my monitor is 16:10 and I can not find how to proceed in the kitchen. I can turn on the belt and grab one of the plates, but then I'm stuck.
Really cool meta vibes so far btw!
The Chef can give you instructions on the Job. On the right there should be sinks
I was enjoying this one, but when I use the garbage can in the park the game just repeatedly tells me to press E and to wash my hands over and over again.
Yes you have to wait 30 secs until you can proceed
Oh I should have went and washed my hands, I'll try this one again.
Okay I finished it, pretty wild stuff. I liked the animations and the talking duck!
